As part of its fifth anniversary celebration, the Broadway smash WICKED will present "The Yellow Brick Road Not Taken," a one-night-only, all-star benefit featuring scenes and songs from the original drafts of WICKED. All proceeds from the performance benefit the non-profit New York Restoration Project – a portion of each ticket is tax-deductible.

yes, bought a ticket when they went on sale earlier this month. Have they announced who will be performing yet?

No, but if it's "all-star" I would not be surprised if Idina and Kirstin showed up, but then again Idina wasn't at the closing night of RENT and Kirstin may be busy with "Pushing Daisies".

someone of interest had better be there. I just find it odd that they didnt announce the performers before tickets went on sale .. the performer list is what drives ticket sales I would think. I guess I'll hope for the best.

I'll be there as well.

They haven't announced a full cast yet, but Norbert Leo Butz and wife Michelle Federer have announced their participation.

I suspect Idina will be there, but Chenoweth will probably be busy with Pushing Daisies.

I wonder if they'll surprise everyone and have Wilejimin(sp?) and Megumi there. The only reason I even thought of that is because the Japanese version of Defying Gravity and the German version of No Good Deed are included on the 5th anniversary CD. If that does happen...
I will be so jealous of both of you!!

Why do I have a feeling that the partial view orchestra seats (still the best bargain on Broadway) at this event will be filled with BWW-ers???? That's where I'm sitting.

i mean cast and others involved in the show must havta know by now
i mean rehearsals for this had to have begun right?

And AFAIK, both Bean and Megan Hilty were unaware of the benefit, as they scheduled their "Meg 'an Sho Show" at Birdland for the same night, but then quickly cancelled it. So it's still possible either will attend.

hmmm this is all just interesting
i wonder if it will be like chicago 10 was where past performers stepped into their roles for different scenes

and by celebrity cast i was thinking more or less bigger people than jus the usual originals in shows
maybe certain big people that are thinking about being a part of the movie perhaps? :-*
