Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I believe I invited Ms. Mugleston to sing with me - you don't look nor sound like her, young man.

Donna also wouldn't misspell the show's title in the thread's subject line either re: WONRERFUL TOWN WITH BROOKE

Someone over on the ATC board said she was, in fact, very good. I think I'll believe him/her.

I will be seeing Wonderful Town again in mid October. Do you guys think the show will be closed by then? I hope not. I am DYING to see Brooke.

It should be open in mid-October. From what I've heard by talking to some of the cast, they think that Shields will keep it afloat a few more months. I hope you enjoy it if you go.

I think Brooke has great courage to be in WT. She knows that her job is to attract more people to see the show so it doesn't shut down. Regardless of her singing and acting ability, she is realy taking on the role of a hero and she should be acknowledged just for that alone!

If I am not mistaken; there is someone on this board who is a usher at that theater. I can't remember who; but hopefully they will eventually post.

Ok, so I got tickets to see the new cast on opening night and here is my review… I LOVE the new Eileen Sherwood. She is WONERFUL, she brings a new different light to the character that I had never seen before. I thought Jennifer Westerfiled (SP) was also great, don’t get me wrong but there was just something that JENNIFER HOPE WILLS brought a different element to the role, as well as a very large chest…ooops, can I say that… oh well…
And now for Brooke. Hmmm. There is no use starting a thread to compare her to Donna. In my eyes, and in many others, Donna is and always will be Ruth Sherwood. )Please hold your countless post about her attendance, this is not what this is about…) I think Brooke will improve in time but some things will probably never change, Ohio was ok, not great but ok. “:100 easy way…” was really Fun util that final note… needs much work. I thought Conga was her high point by far as well as wrong note rag…. Both very cute while staying to there original style. Swing and the reprise of quiet girl need much help… many wrong notes and a look of being completely unsure of herself gave it away very quick!!! Her movements seems pretty fluent and non rehearsed so they looked pretty good. Her actual portrayal of Ruth Sherwood needs lots of help. I felt like there were several spots that need more expression as well as clarity to make them role better. Overall I say give the show a try… 5 out 10 from me… that of course is just my option. I will say this, I congratulate the entire new cast for all there hard work to making this show continue to run. As for the former cast members I wish them all the luck in the word and hope for a speedy recovery for Donna and Jennifer. Two VERY talented woman

Thanks for the review. It sounds like maybe with a few weeks of performances under her belt she might bring the evening up to a 7 or 8. I hope it goes well for her. I had the pleasure of meeting her while she was doing Suddenly Susan. She is a sweetheart and a hardworker that pours her heart into everything she does. She loves doing theater and thats why she's there. Believe me; this young mom has enough money and a big family life. She does not need to work. I plan on seeing her in it a few months into the run.

Before you all bury the show, I again remind you that we must must think about jobs and keeping the few we have. Let's allow those who buy the tickets time to decide whether they wish to spend their money to see the show.
