WSS====== TICKET SALES=====NO DECENT SEATS??

How come I can't find a decent seat for the show--even the good balconies are sold out. Is Ticketmaster holding back the better seats or what?

re: WSS====== TICKET SALES

Much of the orchestra is held back, I know. It's very frustrating, particularly when I have come to terms with the fact that I'll need to pay full price to see it. However, I will not pay $126.00 for a seat in V28 of the orchestra.

It's also a show that probably does a LOT of group sales, so that's probably where a good chunk of cheaper balcony tickets goes.

Only for you. Everyone else is allowed to get great seats.

To answer your question seriously, the show is the biggest hit of the season, aside from Billy Elliot. It's gonna be a little hard finding seats that are up to your (apparently lofty) standards.

I'm not so sure if they are "holding back" seats....but they have something 12 million in advance sales.

Ticketmaster sucks big time.

Telecharge is much, much better.

Agreed. When I went to buy my ticket for GYPSY, I ran a search on both sites to see which one would give me the better seat (or if they'd give me the same seat). Ticketmaster wanted to stick me in the "best available" seat near the back of the Orchestra. Telecharge got me my PERFECT seat in the 7th row, and with what seemed to be fewer fees than Ticketmaster would usually charge.

I thought that you had NO choice over which to use...the theater has agreements with one ticket agency or the other? Any info??

You don't have any choice....

That post makes no sense.

The only place to buy tickets to Gypsy was on telecharge.

The only place to buy West Side Story tickets is on ticketmaster.

It looks like most of the orchestra to row R is being sold as premium or group sales. If your lucky, you can still find a few decent orchestra seats at regular price (and aren't at the extreme sides) if you search for single tickets or visit the box office

I can't imagine they are selling those side seats in the Orchestra as premium. They're like in a whole 'nother section.

That said, I sat in Row F, Seat 2 on the right side section of the Orchestra for full price, and didn't miss a thing. Those must be regular price still. My friend, who was further back in the Center Orchestra, moved up to the seat next to mine (Row F, Seat 4) at intermission and he didn't miss a thing, either.

Look around for dates that have those available.

Here's a detailed seating chart.

re: WSS====== TICKET SALES=====NO DECENT SEATS??

Looking at where those seats are located on the seating chart makes them look completely undesirable, right?

Well, they're actually wonderful, full view seats, though if I were a rich old person that paid premium for them, I would probably be pissed, because of the fact that they're not your traditional side Orchestra seats, as they're in a different section that you need to cross over to separately.

But take my word that they're great seats and well worth full price if you actually do want to see the show from the Orchestra.

I, personally, have had some success with actually calling ticketmaster and talking to an actual person. I have never gotten someone who wasn't helpful. This especially helps if you're only looking for a single ticket. You can talk to them and haggle a bit. Something you cannot do online.

does anyone know if WSS is selling SRO?? if so, for how much?? I know Aida had SRO during it's prime.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

This a show I've trying to book for the last month for the Friday after Easter..the available tickets have been rubbish since then!
We're over from the UK, so we're going to keep that day free and try the box office (which got us into The SRO Producers two weeks after it opened!)

It's going to be almost impossible to find decent seats now that is got such good reviews and it's getting closer to Summer.

I think that the center mezz will the best place to take in the entire production- I've seen it fom the front row thanks to the lottery....so now want to check it out from higher up. I purchased tickets last week for the end of April (Tuesday evening)and got 2 in row D of the mezz, but just off the the right.
