I know that Lowes and Shapiro are friends with Sara so I thought this was a joke at first.I saw a video of Katie singing the National Anthem somewhere and I thought she'd be a good Jenna.This casting seems kind of last minute so I wonder what happened ? Lowes is also two years older than McPhee and I think a year older than Mueller?

I had no idea Katie could sing, good for her.  Yes, this casting is random but Waitress recasts people every 5 minutes it seems nowadays.  Will they bring people in?  Probably not.

Seriously Caitlin has been Dawn since October 2016 and Chris had been there from the beginning. Every 5 minutes? Yes certain roles have changed more often but we are talking about these two.

Actually, the title of this thread is "Waitress new cast" meaning the entire cast.  Respecting other's opinions is important.  Thanks.

She has sang at events for her theater company in LA. and I remember seeing a video on one of my social media feeds of her singing the National Anthem somewhere. I thought she had the potential to play Jenna (Especially since she's friends with Sara) but I think she'll be an awesome Dawn!

Are you talking to me? I have no problem with talking about any replacements for any cast members...I was just noting that the two characters currently being discussed have not been recast for almost two years...so noting that Waitress recasts often seemed not to the point. If I missed some other relevant point where it does, I'm sorry.

Recasts certainly keep things interesting and hopefully bring in new patrons for a while. All the changes you referred to have not hurt. That said, the show was selling over 90% with the understudy in the lead...so the show is holding it's own regardless of who is here right now.

TodayTix is only selling Waitress tickets through 9/2, could this mean 9/4 is the start of a new (probably stunt casted) Jenna?

At waitress tonight and Katharine and the cast are all amazing!! At one point in the show something different happened than i remembered from last time. Audience is energetic and loving it up!

When Dr. Pomatter asks Jenna for coffee before Jenna said “I can’t have coffee it’s on the list of foods i can’t have” people in the audience started clapping and Katharine put her finger in the air like “wait a minute.” Very funny!
