I was peaking at some performances post Sara, and I realized the pricing of Sara’s run goes until mid March, which is weird cuz it’s a few weeks after she already left. The discount code also doesn’t start until that same time. Could this mean Sara is extending until March? I know there were rumors of Katherine McPhee joining but I can’t possibly imagine it’s only for 3 weeks?

Katherine probably cant start till that date in March, and the producers might have not wanted to run 3 weeks with an understudy so Sara probably agreed to stay. It is her show after all.

Wouldn’t it end up conflicting with Jesus Christ Superstar rehearsals?

Considering that JCS is a concert rather than a full production, I'd imagine it wouldn't conflict.

Posted: 2/7/18 at 10:46amI finally got around to watching the little clips of Ragtime at Ellis island and Aisha Jackson blew me away! I hope they bring her back as Jenna someday. She would be truly spectacular...

Katharine McPhee is the new Jenna, Taylor Hicks is the new Cal, and suddenly it's 2006 again.

Looks like it is Katherine McPhee.

I hope they bring another Broadway lady in for Jenna during the summer. Kat should keep the show safe during the competitive spring weeks, when everyone's focused on seeing the new shows. I could see Teal Wicks being great for this role, when they don't have to fight for audiences so much!

Oooo - how about they get Harry Connick Jr to play Dr. Pottamer? Because that'd be a VERY good bad idea indeed (I have daddy issues shutup)

Harry is doing the Sting at The Papermill. He’s also way too cool to be Dr. Pomatter. This role needs a little dorky mixed with sweetness.

Welcome Ben Thompson to the cast of Waitress. Starting tonight as the new Earl.
Glad he's back on stage - missed him.

What a cool surprise to see that Ben (and his calves) are joining Waitress, and crazy that it was announced same-day! He's so talented, it's a shame it's been so long since he's been on Broadway.

Posted: 2/27/18 at 8:28pmHas anyone heard who is playing Jenna during the one month gap in between Sara and Katherine? Is it Stephanie Torns?
Waitress new cast #72
Posted: 2/27/18 at 8:29pmIm assuming its gonna be a understudy. However I wished they brought in Jessica Vosk. Doubtfull. But it would be amazing.

Does anyone in this thread know why there has been so much turnover as Joe? First Lee Wilkof left abruptly and now Steve Vinovich seems to be gone even more abruptly, replaced by the tour Joe.

Posted: 7/10/18 at 11:46pmAnyone have any ideas who may replace Kathrine McPhee when the time comes? She departs from the show in just a little over a month (given she doesn’t extend again)
