About 3.5 minutes of adds before music
This is a radio interview with cast members Gideon Glick & Jonathan B. Wright yesterday 12-4-06. They begin with a song from the show then the interview. They also play "The Word of your Body Reprise". Fun to listen to.

oh, and the Purple Summer song is at the end of the broadcast, so just skip ahead if you wanna hear it
it is SO beautiful, i cannot wait to see this show!
I think this interviewer is way off-base; he's saying that the scene between these two guys it moving? The whole thing was played like a joke when I saw it. Yes, it's an awkward coming-of-age moment, but that doesn't mean it can't be beautiful and moving, which this guy claims it is.
I agree. The guy doing the interview sounded like a fool. He needs to get a clue. When you just keep tossing out adjective after adjective and say nothing of substance about what you're praising, you're not doing a great job promoting the show. The kids held their own well though, especially Jonathan B. Wright.
It's nice that he loved it, but he really sounded pretty clueless in his praise. Who was he?
For all we know, he could be the guy who started this thread in the first place.
ha! probably...
I think the interviewer said it was "really super."
.......
I have to review a show tomorrow for publication. I think I'm gonna write that it's "really super."
Umm no... I am a retired teacher not a radio host. But I would give it a try... :)

Oh really luvtheEmcee what publication is that? Are you a professional critic? I would like to read it.

Oh, if I was, I would not be posting here! I hope to be, but I'm a student now.
As unethical as it would be, it would make me SO happy if you became a prefessional critic, didn't tell anyone on the boards, and kept posting as luvtheEmcee. Can you imagine!
Ha. Well, y'all can say you knew me when.
Em, you'll never be able to leave BWW.

That was probably the weirdest interview i have ever heard. Was Gideon half asleep?...lol the music was great tho!
"...which they have done an extrordinary job turning into a rock musical - and I don't want to frighten anyone by using the word "rock", because its just absolutely terrific."
Um...what does this guy have against "rock". What is he from 1940 were the rumblings of that "Rock and Roll" music was threating to tear apart the morals of America, one pelvic thrust at a time? Is his audience from the turn of he century? The way he makes it sound like its a horrible descriptive word that he is reluctant to use.
Akiva
Didn't he say he was like, an old-school theater queen who loved his classics and was wary of rock?
Obviously he kind of sucks at what he's doing, but I think hsi point was that even though he was initially kind of skeptical about it, he ended up really liking it, which can be a good way to praise a show. Sometimes.
I don't care for the host.
