I'm sure that the person who posted that was kidding. Because in the last page I mentioned that anyone who said Eden would get bitchslapped.

I love, love, love Eden more than the next person but if whoever posted that was serious, I mean come on! Im praying shell recieve the Tony this year for Brooklyn. That would be great!

OK. Yes. I was joking. Although, I suppose way overdue could apply to people with the talent who have never had a legitimate shot at a Tony, could it not?

Thus, I vote Cate Blanchett (who is, undoubtedly, the most talented working actress of her generation). And Eden. And Stephanie Block. =)

Ethel Merman only has one, as far as I know, but shouldve beat Mary Martin for her second Tony as Mama Rose. I was shocked when I found out she didnt win for that.

I'm sorry, maybe I'm wrong, but doesn't WAY overdue mean LONG overdue? If you think someone should win a Tony in the future, I think that belongs in a different thread.

Judy Kaye and Debra Monk have both won (Phantom and Red Curtain respectively)
I am sure it was a joke about Lansbury, Martin and Verdon...but am waiting for someone to ask..."Angela Lansbury never won a Tony?!"

It's so surprising that Julie Andrews has won an oscar and not a tony. Judy Kuhn deserves nothing because she can't act her way out of a paper bag. Yes it's time for Marin to get one. I think LaChiusa deserves one too. He should have gotten it in 2000.
