Linda Eder WISHES she was identical to Babs, vocally. It's so obvious when listening to her how she tries to sound like her. The difference between the two? Barbra can act. Linda is just a singer.
Itty Bitty Geisha? Toyland? Gypsy Pasadoble? Just a few popular favorites...

"That Streisand Woman can act? This is bIgger news than the plague in Odessa!"

Apparently, the Acadamy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences thought so. They voted her an Oscar as Best Actress in 1968 for "Funny Girl" She even tied w/ the actress many consider to be the greatest of American cinema-Katherine Hepburn.

You yourself even once had good things to say about Barbra's performance in "Funny Girl," although I doubt you would admit to it now.

That Streisand Woman may have won an Oscar for her work in FUNNY GIRL (and it's a well documented fact that I HATE movies!!!!!), but when she was nominated for a Tony Award for her stage work in FUNNY GIRL, she lost to TGC--who gave a luminous, funny, and touching performance in TWHM. Enough said.

Maybe Toni Braxton would like to play Dolly. hahahahaha.....wow that would be the funniest thing. They would have to change the marquee to say "Forbidden Broadway"

Don't worry PJ (is that short for "pajamas"?), the Nederlanders have promised the revival of HELLO, DOLLY! for 2006. You'll be able to see you beloved Bernadette in GYPSY in December--unless, of course, the show closes--or there's a fierce snow storm--or Miss Peters comes down with dyspepsia.

Well, that's a relief! I had this image of you showing up at GYPSY in December inappropriately attired in Dr Dentons!

OK. If La Streisand says "NO!" I say let's go with Donna Murphy (forget Fosca, how many of you saw her in WONDERFUL TOWN as presented by Encores?)

Hey, how about Georgia Engel? She is in the Carol mold.

Yours for a better Broadway!

Georgia Engel is absolutely inspired! She was a delight as Minnie Fay in the Merman production and is certainly right for the role at this point in her life!

Thank you, Dolly. I'm glad you find Georgia inspired casting. I think so too. I guess that makes up for my other fantastic casting coup, La Streisand. Hey, you gotta admit I avoid the usual suspects!

Yours for a Dolling Broadway!
