Today is the day they're picking the winners for the 6/6/2012 matinee Book Of Mormon performance...and we won two tickets! For those who are unfamiliar, the producers saved the email address for everyone who entered the lottery over the past few months, and the entire audience for the 6/6 matinee performance will be pulled from those names. And did I mention, we won 2!!!
So did I. I guess losing the daily lottery about 40 times has paid off!
And the 4sq check-ins...
Congrats! Did you receive the e-mail this morning?
The first wave went out today, yep.
I'm so disappointed I lost this fan performance lotto again. I've entered that damn lotto so many times. *sigh*
Aren't they going to do another blast based on who doesn't RSVP before the deadline?

I just got an e-mail and my sister did as well. It says seats are General Admission - does anyone know how the seating works? Do people camp out on line to get the best seats? I've seen the show from standing room twice and it will finally be nice to actually have a seat - any seat!
From what I know they basically went seat by seat in the theater a pulled out a name per seat or pair so the seats a assigned by when your name was picked.

I got an email notifying me of the win today, YAY! Curious, those who went last year, how did it work, you pick up your passes first and then wait on line to get in?
I also just got an email! I don't see anything about the seats being general admission though. Also curious how that works

"Seating is General Admission" on the confirmation page.
Eek, general admission sounds like a recipe for chaos. I'm hoping they've better thought the process...

I know this is a long shot, but if anybody happens to get 2 seats that they're unable to use, I would be forever grateful if I was able to snag them! My best friend and I both entered multiple times and did not win, and the show happens to be on his birthday.
Of course, if requested, I'd be more than willing to pay some amount, as this would be a special show for him and I!
Many, many thanks! :)
I sent them an email asking them to clarify the general admission process. Got an auto-response saying that I'd get a reply within 48 hours. I'll share the info when I get it.
Kirby - per the info, they're being VERY strict about tickets not being sold or transferred. The winner and guest BOTH have to be their when tix are picked up, and both with photo ID.

Oh, man... that sounds horribly intense! Even still, I'd be willing to make the trip into the city to exchange tickets once they're picked up!
You'd think they could just let people draw seat locations out of a hat when they come pick up the passes- the idea of the fan performance is so fun, it would be sort of a shame if a general admission policy meant hours long waiting lines to get in, etc. I mean I'd almost just rather just do the standing room line than have to deal with a 1000 people camping out for first dibs on seats
I went last year. I'm not sure what time I got to the the theater but it was early, around 8 and there were already about 40 people in line. While we were waiting to go in staff members came outside to verify our names and our +1s and give us wristbands. The seating was ga and so they let about twenty people or so go in at time and they could sit wherever they wanted. As the seats started to fill up it was getting hectic with people trying to find seats.

So when did they let you go into the theater? They couldn't have opened the house 30 minutes before curtain with that method, could they?
If I remember correctly they started to let us in about an hour before.
I think there were 400 fans last year. Not sure about this one. I know lots of cast family/friends are now able to go.
The BOM folks got right back to me. Here is their response:
"Hi! The line will begin to form at 10 am and you'll be escorted in that order. Once you enter it's general admission."
If I get further details, I'll pass them along.

I won last year. It was fantastic. I think I got there 8 or 9am...sorry I forget. I got on line at the corner and quickly it went down 8th and then around the next corner. I was able to get a seat about half way down in the orchestra on the aisle left side. Perfect seats for me. Have a great time - congrats!
