I went back to see The Wedding Singer yesterday with a group of my friends, and we went to get rush. We got there at 8:30 AM and were first in line. When the box office opened, I kindly asked the lady if we could get seats 107-109, and she repleid by saying "You'll get what I wanna give you." At first, I thought she was joking because I ahve met box office workers who joke like that, but that flaming b*tch gave us seats 101-103. I did say anything, but if I am a paying customer, I think I should be allowed to request a seat. On a positive note, the show was amazing. The last time I went was the first preview, so a lot has obviously changed. I like the new song "Someday;" however, I did love "Right on Time" as well. Laura has grown more into the role and her comic timing was dead on. I liked it betetr when Glen forgot the anniversary because it made it even easier to dislike him. Stephen was great once again and Felicia and Amy once again stole the show. The house was pretty full today, which was pretty surprising when it usually has a weekly attendance of 50-60%. When Felicia came out for curtain call, a girl on the opposite end of the front row and myself gave her a standing ovation. When Amy came out, the old lady sitting behind me and across the aisle gets out of her seat and comes up to me, and tells me, "Sit down, sit down!" I told her that if I believed a performer deserves a standing ovation, then I am entitled to give it to him/her, and told her to sit back down. I cannot believe the nerve of people....needless to say, I encountered quite the group of people yesterday. Now moving on to Hot Feet. I completely agree with everything said about this show already. The cast is extremely energetic and the dancing is phenomenal; however, it is repetitive. Also, I did not like the fact that the singers were off-stage most of the time. Overall, the show was okay for the $26.25 I spent; however, definitely not worth $110. Once again, the house was pretty full, even in the balcony (I guess because it was Saturday night).
You called her a bitch because she gave you 107 center instead of 101? Ok....
People must've been in a bad mood yesterday.
Glad you enjoyed TWS!

No, whatyouown, I requested 107-109, and she refused to honor my request and gave me 101-103. I wanted dead center- lol.

Kicks, requesting seats is almost impossible. It's whatever the computer picks up. The most you can do is request an aisle. When I saw it, I requested an aisle and got it. When I saw Lestat, I said "best available," knowing that it was the balcony. Ironically, the computer picked up the rear mezzaznine, which was empty, so I moved down to the front.

It is not impossible to request a specific seat at the box office. I have done it at Drowsy, Lestat, and Tarzan this season already...as long as you buy your tickets at the box office, you are able to. I hope this will help you in the future yankeefan.

I don't care about specific seat numbers. I do whatever's easiest for the people at the box office, hence, I ask for "best available" at a certain price range.
Kicks, im glad you enjoyed this show, i saw it twice and can't wait to see it again, but if you are paying 26 bucks a piece you can't get too picky, just be happy that this show gives you the chance to get tickets that usually are 111 for 26. And who the hell is an old lady to tell you to sit down during the curtain call, you give a standing ovation to whoever you want! i stood when Amy took a bow.
That old lady? Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah sat behind me while i saw The Color Purple, and she was singing along with the actors, and that audience was a mess, even Oprah was kinda annoying, plus the reaction she caused, anything was allowed there! LOL
hey, how did you get hot feet tickets for 26 bucks? i looked it up online and it said there was no student rush or anything
just go to the theatre and you can get them easily at the box office, those aren't sold online.

Kicks,
Any seat is good in that house. These box office people do not have to follow orders. In any case, box office people do it in the order of people who come. Thats the way it goes.
Actually, you can get front row seats for $26 on ticketmaster.com too (for Hot Feet). And Kicks, you can not pick your seats when doing student rush.
