So I've been thinking of ways to save The Wedding Singer, and I have come up with a brilliant promotion and now I will share it with all of you.
1980's Ticket Prices!!! For a limited time only. First, it would be cute, and cheap enough that people might read a not-so-great review and still take the chance.
I would go every day!

How about a more clever show?
The jokes are soooo lame.

I would rather see this thread in the size it should be not elongated by a lot of funny symbols.

yeah, why save the wedding singer? what saved me was racing out the theatre right before the automatic standing ovation.

Posted: 5/14/06 at 1:59amI like Wedding Singer as it is. I even really like Someday (the new song that replaced Right on Time), which took a couple viewings to grow on me. I just saw the commercial on tv and will go see the show again this week.

Posted: 5/14/06 at 2:06ami agree with Liotte, this show doesn't need any changes. I have seen it twice already and want to see it again.

Posted: 5/14/06 at 10:02amI think that's a good idea. Phantom had opening night prices around the time when it was becoming Bway's longest running show.

Posted: 5/14/06 at 11:23amAnd if a show can charge a price that most people can afford to pay. I think it's sick that a family of five that wants nice orch seats has to pay $556.25

Naw, they weren't that harsh. A lot of them said the show wasn't great, but the crowd loved it. I wouldn't call them all that negative.
I think Wedding Singer needs to get on some television shows. Get them on the Today show and I guarantee people will love it. It's got such great, uplifting music. If they can just showcase it, people will be drawn to it.

Posted: 5/14/06 at 11:18pmHave they actually done any press yet? I would love to see Stephen Lynch on TV. Is it strange that they haven't?

I think that's such a cute and GOOD idea.
I think it would bring in people who got scared off by the reviews, and bring people back to see it again.

Posted: 5/14/06 at 11:39pmi too have seen the sudden saturation of commericals, which makes it seem like tickets aren't selling very well. maybe they need to perform on GMA and the Today Show!

Posted: 5/15/06 at 12:56amthey do. I don't live anywhere near NY and I haven't heard one thing about this show on TV. Now, "Tarzan" I've heard a lot of about, but not Wedding Singer.
