Pacific Overtures is certainly up there.
Especially since it is so bizarre yet works and comes together so beautifully.

Let's not judge THE APPRENTICE already...atleast it will be original music - I'd much rather see that on Broadway than GOOD VIBRATIONS, etc. JERRY SPRINGER sounded like an absurd idea, but it turned out brilliant. So who knows.

Well, a number of years ago I thought that I had heard the Weirdest Musical Idea. It was a musical that was to be about a Barber who killed people and his Landlady, a pie shop owner, who then turned those dead people into meat pies. Who knew?

I don't think that's what this thread is about...it was already a well known story and excellent play. Maybe you would have been around in the 80's to hear the weird buzz about it, though.

Well...the TV Version of Dawson's Creek the musical can definitely make the list...same with Superman...I always thought that was really neat.

Spiderman was/is a musical too--i dont think it was on broadway though
