I'm not gonna lie, before I saw Assassins, I was incredibly confused as to how people singing about presidental assassins could possibly work. I learned never to say never because it was one of the best things I have ever seen.
My brothers school put on a musical review about bacteria. It was a second grade production and my brother was streptococcus. Incredibly odd. They talked about how hard it was to be bacteria when everyone hated you.

I'll admit when I heard was "Sunday in the Park with George" was going to be about I thought Sondheim had lost it. Since then I've pretty much accepted whatever he's thrown our way. Assassins? OK. Fairy Tales? Of course. Land swindlers? Could work.

Tonight on "Malcom in the Middle" they featured an opera written about Hal & Louid getting a new, larger bed. I'd pay to see it on stage.

Harry Potter: The musical

To much would have to be cut to be able to get a three hour musical.

If there were a show about BWW, 99% of the songs would be sung about Wicked obsessions. eh?

The Wasteland!: The Musical.

Hey, turning T.S. Eliot poetry into a musical worked for Cats!. It could be fun. They could include hefty Cliff Notes in the program or they could set in a college class where poor English majors are woefully attempting to understand the meanings of the poem and each student could get their own song while the chorus acts out the actions of the poem behind the stage and then they could all switch and reinterpret the same passages in the second act. I had a musical theatre techer who would always joke about how the worst musical ever would be "Vomit-The Musical." However, he would come up with songs and storylines all the time, it got to be pretty funny.
