heh. I'm "cleaning" right now.
Cabaret is set in Germany, right before World War II. It's a love story within a political commentary, basically. Search the boards; I know there have been some *really* good discussions about it that you might like to read.

Posted: 11/26/05 at 10:44pmIt's far from an orgy fest. It's one of my faves, and you should see it if you ever get the chance. I like the revival much better than the original too. I mean, you have to love Joel, but I really do like revival better.

Two Ladies was bad for my brain. It fell into the category of "things I never thought I'd see Adam do."
I've never seen the movie. I know, I'm a sorry excuse for a Cabaret fan.

He's sort of the narrator. He sees everything, which I love. He's the narrator for the story, and "your host" at the club -- The Master of Ceremonies. He's different in every version of the show; Joel Grey once said that to him, Emcee *was* a representation of Hitler. In the revival, he was a lot more vulnerable -- the victim, and a representation of everything Nazi Germany would destroy. He's a wonderfully fascinating character.
Two Ladies was dirty. Not as dirty as say... Raul's (my eyes almost fell out) but it was enough to make me feel really weird. Adam wasn't so daring as he was just giddy from all of the sex. I remember one time where he went up to the edge of the stage, Bobby and Lulu skipping about behind him, and using some *very* obscene hand gestures, asked an audience member to bed.
