Has anyone seen it at Studio Theater? I won't be able to make it and I haven't heard from anyone who's seen it.

I remember her thanking the community and saying how great it was to get to come to DC for this and be appreciated. She thanked the judges I believe. She was just very gracious and humble. I thought Stephanie's acceptance speech was very nice. Franca's speech was painful. The explanation of her dream was so strange and unnecessary. I was glad Urinetown did so well, as I thought that was very well done. I had hoped Carolyn Pasquantonio would win for best lead female in a resident play partly because I know her and partly because I thought she was amazing. Oy vey, how can you love the music without embracing the message of it? I don't even understand that. So much of the music is the amazing and uplifting message. I know the lyrics are not preachy, so you don't HAVE to accept Jonathan's beliefs to like the show, but the message of tolerance in the show is obvious enough that it should affect anyone who loves the music. But they deserve to ask Anthony any questions they have, and he deserves to get a chance to respond to their questions and mayb...

I understand where you're coming from, but I would like to hear Anthony's response. I'm sure he would handle it very well, and possibly help her see it a different way. I'm sure he would change some people's opinions, even if he couldn't change her's. If I thought it would make him uncomfortable or if it was a situation where he couldn't respond I would say try to stop her from coming, but I think Anthony would have a great answer for that.

Ok I gave up on reading this whole thread pretty quickly, but have discussed this a lot. I definitely think your opinion changes when you see the show, depending on whether or not the actors do justice to their roles. I saw Josh Davis and Betsy Morgan at the Everyman Theatre and they were both fantastic, so it's not like I really sympathize with one because the other was acted badly. Before I saw it I assumed Jamie was to blame because he cheated on her. I think his part in this is more obvio...

Welcome, newbie! Many people are confused about Wax Lion. Just don't even try to figure it out lol. Blockbuster is evil. The one near me only has bad popular romantic comedies and thrillers. Yes I've watched Wonderfalls on repeats occasionally. I thought it was on Logo? I certainly may have made that up. Yay no show for a week! It's good fun & all but I was there every night from Sat-Sat for at least 3 hours. Oy. *should be studying for exams*

Anyone who is anywhere near Silver Spring Stage in MD come see it. Watch me, dressed in all black, attempt (and fail) to gracefully move furniture on/off stage. Good stuff.

I saw both L5Y and ttb in Baltimore recently. I thought L5Y was incredible, and both actors were amazing. As for ttb, I really liked Evan's Jonathan, but I didn't enjoy the other two. I didn't really find the direction to be that great either, but I liked Evan's performance enough that it made up for it. He's in The Shape of Things right now at Silver Spring Stage, if anyone is in the area. I'm in the crew. I think it's a really great production.

Wow, I haven't been online in like 3 days. That never happens. We had a preview for The Shape of Things last night, which went well, considering the audience was senior citizens and some of the language was not what they usually hear. Opening night tonight!
