I pretend that its all this websites fault that I keep putting off my work, but I know that if I wasn't on here I'd be distracting myself in some other way.
OT: does anyone know what thread it was in that someone posted a bunch of excerpts from random peoples livejournals about rent? They were so funny and I can't seem to find them again.
*tries really hard to be on topic* Oh Anthony, I love your little pose in LIFE magazine.

Blahh. I have homework. Pssssssh, that can wait! I need to focus my energy on a) convincing my mom to see Rent with me today and b) posting here! Not that takes much energy. Oh well.
Edit: You guysssss, every time I post something you guys start to talk about something else and then I become off topic. Renthead, your projects are effed up. Greenegirl, if you find that thread, PM it to me! Sounds amusing.

Ooo ooo ooo! I have a question!
Are there going to be anymore contests for advanced copies of your book?
Hahaha Rogue you were so excited/proud of yourself for not only being on topic but having an actual question! Once again, I am in awe of your skills.
I hope that there are more contests. I really want to read that book!

*applauds rogue* You are so talented. It shocks me. SHOCKED, I TELL YOU! SHOCKED! Okay, sorry.
I want an advanced copy too.
Thank you, thank you. ::bows::
(This is random, but I walked into the living room and my sister was watching Full House. John was singing: If you're happy and you know it clap your hands!)
I actually had a question. But, if there is one, I hope its NOT in the middle of the day for me.

Hahahahhahaha, greenegirl. Definitely. That part of the conversation was hysterical.
"Tell me why, in a 12th grade honors physics class, we are doing a project where we find 10 toys and explain which of Newton's 3 laws they demonstrate? Excuse me, I believe I did that in 5th grade."
Look I'm writing a 3-4 page lab report on tossing a die for physics. (Actually I should have done it like 2 weeks ago) Atleast you have something fun to do. I tossed a die 244 times, yay!
Alot of the conversation was. Hehe
See Marlene, the senioritis would have sunk in for me in that situation. I would have gotten through about 5 rolls and then just made up the rest.
I can't wait to read Anthony's book!
I'm so frightened and yet proud of myself right now. I'm using a kite as one of my toys, which immediately made me think of "The Kite Song". Then a site about kite's applying to Newton's laws said that the kite "defies gravity" so of course I broke into song. Then another site mentioned December 24th, so of course I couldn't resist.
"He said on The View that he still had it in his closet."
He said back in one of his early posts here that he still has the whole costume, except for the coat. I read it again a few weeks ago when I was looking for something.
renthead, that made your day didn't it?

OO I FINALLY FOUND THE THREAD WITH THE LJ QUOTES!
ha ive really been looking all this time too...
of course i read through all of the attendance anecdote thread and the rent review thread before i jsut decided to check the shortest one, the box office predictions :]
it was originally posted by Marlene but I'm going to steal them and the whole post and post it here:
Random quotes that I pulled off of people's xangas on RENT, I've filtered out any Idina fangirls, obsessive Rentheads, or people well versed in MT. Got to love the very last quote.
"I am inspired [by RENT, the movie]...but i dont know what to do with that inspiration. It certainly doesnt inspire me to become a stripperdrug addictlesbian though. so dont worry. lol."
"I didn't want to see RENT. I really don't wanna here poor people sing about being poor, in a poor city. Sounds depressing. I'm sure I will receive at least 3 death threats and a broken hip for saying that, but we all know how cynical I am."
"hey everybody watz up nm here jus enjoying not bein at school well shannans here and in a lil while we r goin to the mall i can't wait well i don't want to see the movie we r goin to see its called rent i think its retarted shannan picked it that makes me mad"
"well last night i had a blast!!! my n my family went to go see that movie RENT!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS SO GOOD!! is was about all these gay people and all but it was a musical...and it was a good show!!! well every1 go c it!!"
"Rent was amazing. I have never had such an experience while watching a movie. Before it started, everyone in the movie theater was separate from each other, selfish and unconnected. After crying and feeling genuine love for these characters, we were all a huge lump of humanity. It was beautiful *sniffle*...I really want to see it on Broadway, however, because they changed some stuff for the movie. However, now I get the whole gist of it. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! A true work of art."
"RENT WAS FABULOUS!! EVERYONE SHOULD SEE IT!!"
"if anybody sees this, which i completely doubt, the new movie RENT (you know the one based off the broadway musical) was one of the best I've seen in a long time. I mean, it could've used some ninja's or something... but it was still the ****."
enjoy!!!!
Rogue, it did! And not just because it's a really slow day!

i mean, it could've used some ninja's or something...
LMFAOOOOO. Thank you for that. Imagine Rent with ninjas.
.....HAHAHAHAHAH. Okay, sorry. But that was really amazing.
HAha, there was another reason?!
I could really see ninja's popping up and singing: "LA VIE BOHEME!"
