Hey everyone. Just thought I'd introduce myself. Newbie here, for certain, but have been a Rent fan for a long while now. I just found this unbelieveable thread. It was amazing that Anthony was able to answer so many questions. I haven't gotten through all the thread yet, and I am aware of the Rent Movie Blog, but does Anthony tend to answer questions here anylonger? If not, that's still cool, I am perfectly content about just chatting about Rent and Anthony, but I was just curious. Thanks, and nice to meet you all!

Welcome, hantise!
Anthony still answers questions on other threads, but doesn't really come in here (or doesn't respond in here anymore). It's mostly just fans chatting now, which is fun. Join in the convo. here or you can randomly join our AIM chat as well.

Yessssss.....so I just called my sister...she works at a publishing company, and asked her if she thought it would possible for her to get me an advanced copy of Anthony's book. She saw it already in their system and said the buyer (the person who requests books from publishers) is a good friend of hers...so I'm hoping hoping hoping that I'm able to get it soon. It seems likely. Let me just go pee my pants in excitement right now!!!!!!! yayyyyyy

Thank you so much for the welcome! I figured that now he is a very busy guy, so I wasn't expecting that he would have time. Still though, I love how dedicated he is to the fans. I be happy to chat, you guys seem like such cool people!

Yay new icon!!!

Not Anthony, but this thread usually makes its way to Adam every 8 pages or so anyway, lol. Speaking of, anyone watch Tony Danza? He talked about auditioning for Rent and stuff, very fun. :)

Hiiiii hantise! *waves*
Tony Danza was amazeriffic. My mom actually remembered to tape it for me! Squeeeeee! I was so proud of her.
dmb, you're so lucky. You have no idea how jealous I am.
Oh man, I tangoed again today. The lead of my school play is really hot. And he tangoes next to me (yes, not with me, which is unfortunate, him being, well... him, and me being the hot piece of ass that I am
). It is very exciting. I'm a total loser. The end. *bows*

I'm totally crazy and insane. When I found this thread, (acutally found it in a search in google under "anthony rapp"- big surprise there) I started to flip out that actual actors were posting on here. I've been reading like a crazy woman for 2 days now, being the insane person that I am. I'm on page 209 right now, trying desparately to catch up. I love it, love it all. *laughs with an evil tone*
Ok, now I'm done.

LOL..I did the exact same thing when I found this thread!
Anthony clothing update...cords are now at$152.50, and the auction is closing in about 2 hours...
The sweater is sitting at $270 with 6 days left...I can't even imagine how high it is going to get!
Here's to the sisterhood of the traveling cords/sweater/scarf (if it ever goes up!)

we should start betting how much the sweater will go for. if its at $270 in one day, it could go for over $1500. wow...

Yeah, I could see it getting to $1000+....at that price, we couldn't even buy it with our money pooled together!

LOL! Now I just need to get the cords, the scarf and a cute pair of glasses to complete the look:) The sad thing is that some random person is going to win the sweater, put it in a closet, and never have as much fun with it as we would!

I would feel impossibly creepy wearing the sweater. I'd probably hide it in the back of my closet and look at it at night. And maybe smell it... or use it as my pillowcase. Haha, see how creepy I am? And I don't even have it.
ANYwho... I finally got the copy of "time" with the rent covers. (way late, I know...) It was at the library for 25 cents. I didn't have 25 cents, so I got it for free. The Jesse/Idina cover. If only Jesse were younger... and attainable.
BTW, welcome, hantise. Make sure you check out the FAQs. They're really helpful.

"`I grow old... I grow old... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.` What does that mean, Mr. Marlowe?"
"Not a bloody thing. It just sounds good."
He smiled. "That is from the `Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.` Here's another one. `In the room women come and go/Talking of Michael Angelo.' Does that suggest anything to you, sir?"
"Yeah -- it suggests to me that the guy didn't know very much about women."
"My sentiments exactly, sir. Nonetheless I admire T. S. Eliot very much."
"Did you say, 'nonetheless'?"
