Third, what would I have to sell to get him to come to Minnesota and speak at a teeny tiny women's college (granted, the largest one in the country, but still).

and yes...anthony rapp had his arm on my shoulder, and i had my arm around his waist....

and ya, the thing about the commentary...yep, i was the one that said that too.

im so lucky!

PS: if anthony reads this, i apologize for making a total fool of myself and overusing the work "wicked" and "like" like a total fanboy....it was entirely unintentional and i am NOT like that in real life

im not to sure if anthony speaking at that college was the same place, but i know he is speaking at some school in/around the Boston area....unfortuanatlly that is still too far for me to travel, maybe if he came to Toronto i would be up for the 4 hr travel time... but i dont think he will come up to Canada anytime soon ... me rambling sorry....i have an exam in an hour (blarg exams on sunday *insert angery face*)....

Boston area? My brother goes to Brandeis University, about 8 miles out of Boston. Although my brother isn't a Broadway dork like me, maybe he'll go and tell me about it!

Haha Brandeis has been attacking me through email. YOU'RE JEWISH! COME TO BRANDEIS! Not as bad as St. Joseph's, though. The subject line of most of their emails is "We're watching you like a hawk." Before I found out the hawk was their mascot it sounded like a threat!

renthead1223, trust me, it doesn't stop once you get into college. NYU rejected me 2 years ago (only school that did- still a bit bitter) but they still send me mail about all their special programs, where you spend the spring/summer semester there and everything. They had their chance 2 years ago, but still can't give it up!

My school kept calling me and I was like "fine! I'll check you guys out!!"

And I fell in love with the place.

7 hours from home in love.

Oh, and forgive me if I start typing random facts about Ancient Babylon and the start of the monotheistic relgions of the old world...

something like that keeps happening to me, im a first year at a canadian university, but cornell (spelling?) in ithica keeps emailing me and im like but i didnt write the SATs, even though i would love to go there theres also a matter of American tution...

Yep, that's Brandeis. My brother is your typical "nice Jewish boy," so they wanted him. As for me...I'm going for the more artsy school.

Anyway, back on topic.

I saw RENT for a second time today. Loved it even more than I did when I first saw it. Cried a lot more, too. Anthony, of course, was fantastic.

So when did we find out that Anthony was doing the commentary? I am really excited and really exhausted as well..i got off work at four in the afternoon yesterday and then slept until about eight-thirty this morning..it felt really good but I have three finals tomorrow and that is going to suck..I have to write a character analysis and then do some show reviews!! and study for my american male final.....AHHHHHHHHH help me!

I have to go perform in a Christmas concert, not looking forward to it, it's taking my study time.

He spoke at Bridgewater State College. Yay for little schools!

Yeah, I go there, and was lucky enough to attend (I went with two friends - one is the one emcee mentioned! hehe). It was most excellent. He answered a whole range of questions, from independant films, to the Rent movie, to Jonathan, to Little Shop, to the casting of Justin Timberlake (that was my question). Afterwards, he was very gracious, I made sure I got both my OBC CD booklet and his movie soundtrack cover signed. It was a great experience.

Wow...guess I joined this discussion a little too late. You college types are so lucky! That's awesome some of you had the chance to meet Anthony--and that lj entry..."he has nice eyes"...haha, made me smile inside and out. Thanks for sharing it with us.

He does answer PMs and he actually posted another thread today.

So, yes... he stills "lurks"(just not in this thead). He gets swamped with PMs (so keep that in mind). He'll read your message, and probably will respond.

I'm gonna suggest you join our AIM chat before PMing him.
