So this is going to be a bit of an odd bump, but hopefully it'll explain itself.

Having just seen City Center's A Chorus Line last week, my first time seeing a production of ACL, I am thoroughly obsessed.  Of course I knew the score, based on the two existing Broadway cast recordings, but then there was this song "And", and while it is a brief number, I now feel my A Chorus Line albums are incomplete. In addition, I was reading the thread on the 2006 Revival's cast recording, and it looks like "And" was released as an iTunes or Rhapsody bonus track, well that link I'm sure is long gone, and not even Youtube seems to have an mp3 uploaded.

Then I read that the recent West End revival was due for a cast recording with previously unreleased tracks, but that was 5 years ago, so WHAT HAPPENED?! There is so much great music in this show, longer dance sequences, etc that have never been recorded and would be perfect for a 2 disc CD, the first complete A Chorus Line!

Does anyone think that there is any hope in City Center recording their production? Because I would be totally OK with that, I could listen to Robyn Hurder sing "The Music and the Mirror" on loop, and City Center's orchestra is one of the best Ive ever had the pleasure to listen to.

Bottom line: A Chorus Line is one of the most popular musicals of all time, and one of the longest running in Broadway history, why do we only have 2 english cast recordings for a show almost 50 years old?!

What ever happened to that proposed London Cast Recording? Was it ever even recorded?
