Re: Bill Pay the Musical - When was the last industrial musical?
If anyone has a plus one for this that they don’t need, or can no longer attend, please DM me! I’m on the waitlist but I have no idea what, if anything will even come of it.

Re: COME FROM AWAY concert(September 13)
If anyone has any hook up for the Simulcast, since the free outdoor concert seems a long shot, please let me know! Also, because I cannot find this info for the life of me, what time is it supposed to start? 5pm?
Re: Andrew Scott at Studio Seaview (Oct. '26) VANYA return? Sea Wall?

KENREX - Previews & Reviews 4/26 (Lucille Lortel Theatre, Off-Broadway)

Wonder if this lukewarm review hurts transfer chances (if there even were chances to begin with)
THE LOST BOYS Previews
For context, I have never seen the film, so I went into this blind minus knowing it was "about"vampires. Also, I won the lottery for the Wednesday 4/15 evening show, and got left center orchestra Row B (third row) - full view, but some set pieces did cause me to look very "up" but nothing id argue was uncomfortable. In fact, I really enjoyed being so close! Some bullet point thoughts:Shoshana is a star, and her Act 2 duet with Paul is my fave number in the show. That said, I do not think she is...
KENREX at the Lucille Lortel Theater - Previews
I don't see a thread for this one, and a search did not yield any results so I figure I would kick things off!I was at tonight's first preview, and I have to say... I totally get the hype, and while I didn't see Jack's Olivier completion, I can totally get how he won. What he is doing on that stage, almost by himself is a masterclass.I had been excited for this, even before the Olivier noms came out - idk why, just something about how it was advertised on social media drew me in, and with the...
The Adding Machine
I’m not saying you’re outright assuming so, but to be clear, this is not the musical version of the adding machine, it is a play, no music beyond scene change music/background atmosphere. While the source material is the same, i wouldn’t assume this version will be anything like what you’re familiar with. i personally, going in not at all familiar with the material, did not enjoy the show very much when I saw it last week. Maybe it went over my head, but I was bored most of the time. And I to...
THE RESERVOIR at Atlantic Theatre Co
iluvtheatertrash said: "To be honest, I thought the play was weak too. But I would have stayed if the lead performance was more likable. He made an already selfish character even more insidious and vapid than the text requires. I'll be curious to see more reviews, but I fled. I wanted to be home, warm, hanging with my pets."To those of you who left at intermission, (or just somehow didn’t enjoy this play) I believe you missed out on something really cute and cathartic. And I personally found ...

MASQUERADE Previews Thread
7pm Show this evening, Kyle and Erin were my pair (so it does seem that pairs are locked to times, but we did have three understudies on, including for Raoul. But the best part, we had a show stop ON THE ROOF. Sounded like her mic/the piped in score was completely just not working. I could hear her fine enough, but I get how it wasn't feasible to continue. It was maybe 5-7 mins in total, but the way the show is staged and timed, they couldn't just restart the scene, Erin had to wait (semi-awk...
PRIDEBILLS ARE HERE!!
Not Pridebills, but ATG have Pride Souvenir cups, at least at the Hudson. I Imagine their other venues will have them too with June in full swing. This feels like a first, not that I’m a souvenir cup collector, but they will only be here for a limited time, I’d assume, so get em while they’re hot!

Adam Lambert Cabaret 1/22 Matinee Audience Behavior
Just saw this on Facebook, and I thought it worth sharing here.“An open letter to Adam Lambert, This afternoon at Cabaret, as you were finishing the song "If You Could See Her" and you held the gorilla's face in your hands to say "She wouldn't look Jewish at all," you were but were cut off by people in the audience laughing at the joke. Not nervous laughter, not shocked laughter, but people who found the surprise that it was a Jewish gorilla legitimately funny. As I was shaking my head that w...
DEAD OUTLAW To Open On Broadway April 27, 2025
Robbie2 said: "Has the Longacre ever had a long running hit show? Everything seems to last less than a year around 6 months or so."The original production of Children of a Lesser God ran for a bit over 850 performances. Though that was way back in 1980. Recent "long-er" running shows were Leopoldstadt, A Bronx Tale, and the 2010 revival of La Cage aux Folles. Those are the ones that jump out at me from Wikipedia, but it definitely does not host shows longer than 2.5-3 years, across its history.
'Swept Away’ to Close on Broadway December 15
That Tammy Faye ran longer than this is… something. Yet, Broadway is “raking in the money” given the Thanksgiving grosses. It’s sad really.
