Another weekend, another thread for everybody staying in.

Anybody else here have weekend plans? I'm in all day cleaning tomorrow (landlord has someone coming in to check the heating) but on Sunday I'm off to Richmond to see the always lovely Bonnie Langford in Peter Pan.

Tomorrow I'm going to see Madagascar 2! WAAY! lol and Sunday off to London for A:OC and WWRY on Monday :)

Exedore: where did you learn the word "Crimbo"? I thought they took Brookside off the air before you came over.

Quiet night in for sister with a glass of red wine, tax return and just about to get my lamb shank out of the oven (and I don't think that's an euphemism)

Then some friends from the north down tomorrow and off to see ALNM at Menier tomorrow night.

I should be writing Christmas cards, just like I should have been last Friday, but you lot are distracting me again.

Scripps: One of my IRC mates in 2002/03 was a right Northerner and encouraged the term's use.

And taxes...I keep forgetting about those...

Blossom Hill White Zinfandel is it Sam? Me too!! Where do you get it from? My parents wouldn't have allowed me a bottle when I was your age. One glass of Schloer on a Sunday was all I was allowed.

What does IRC stand for?

So many tax returns. Didn't Jaqs post that she was in finance? Maybe she can help?

You know me too well!! It was in the fridge..its been sitting there for two weeks now, tempting me :)! The folks are the ones that buy it, knowing i'll drink it. Alcohol has never been an issue, they've always lived by the if we don't make an issue of it and allow a little bit in the home, he won't go out and get gattered every weekend....and its worked! i don't go out and get gattered EVERY weekend... o.O haha!

Friday night is comedy night! Which isn't as glamorous as it sounds; I'm playing 'Animal Crossing' on the DS and hanging out here until 9pm, then it's 'Have I Got News For You', followed by 'Gavin & Stacey', rounded off with 'The IT Crowd'. At some point I envision a rewatch of last night's 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' as well. I have until this point stubbornly resisted the urge to find out exactly what a Josh Groban is. Now, thanks to Buzzcocks, I know. I find him very charming.

Working tomorrow, then a Christmas party in the evening. We're doing a Secret Santa variant which involves picking a parcel at random, opening it, then either keeping it, or "stealing" whatever the person before you had. We had to buy silly gifts for under a fiver; I bought four crappy horror movies from Woolworths for 90p each. I... kinda hope the game ends up going round in a circle and I get to keep them. XD

There was always drink around at home for me too, at least drinking at home means you know how much you need to get newt like.

Tax is/was not my area but the 1 time I did my own return I got a massive refund it was ace.

On the one hand could do with a West End board tax expert as I'm now stuck on one section but the upside is I can't continue until I've sorted it, so with the absence of tax experts it will have to wait until tomorrow or more likely Monday when the helpline is open.

So back to glass of red I guess...

for some reason i just think red wine is repulsive...its too rich i think, maybe my taste for it will come with age?

And I haven't drank in....four and a half years now? Wasn't an alcoholic when I did, but always had a low tolerance and kept being reminded of why I tend not to like being around heavy drinkers.

I just drink an array of brightly-coloured non-alcoholic fruit juices. When my friends get drunk, I'm the one who remembers all the embarrassing details.

Weez do not admire your choice in TV, I know that Jerry Springer is presenting tonight, but nothing to do with the muscial with Jesus in nappies!!!! lol x

I saw at TKTS they have Sunset Boulevard for £10 cannot be bad.
