i've cried to every single show i've seen.
... the list is not long.
I cry easily. But most recently, Grey Gardens. Christine Ebersole. Oh boy.
Mark Richard Ford's I'll Cover You Reprise in RENT. It is the best ICYR ever.
Carolee Carmello--Her Winner Takes it all Moves me to tears.
Audra in Ragtime---perfectly acted.
Bob Martin at the end of The Drowsy Chaperone.
Tonya Pinkins
"Lot's Wife"
OH.
most recently, Jason Tam in "A Chorus Line"
a performance of a lifetime!
Sherie Rene Scott made me cry when I saw her for my first time after she returned.
That was for more of an emotional reason I guess...
I don't really think any person has made me cry for being just "that good", there's always some tie to the song, plot, etc.
Yeah, I'm going to hell for this. .
I get totally misty-eyed at Kristy Cates' Elphaba. There's something about the way she twists her face when everyone's laughing at her hat. . I dunno, it strikes a nerve I guess.
Lea Salonga in Miss Saigon.
I laughed so hard I cried the first time I saw DRS.
Wow this thread has lasted a long time. I think I first posted four months ago. I'll just cry when it finally dies. Anyway, once again Leslie Jordan and Dale Dickey made me cry when I saw the recent LA revival of Southern Baptist Sissies. Now I don't see Grey Gardens until Saturday, but I cry when I listen to the off-Broadway recording and hear Christine sing Around the World and Another Winter in a Ummer Town. I'm gonna be a real mess on Saturday.
I think it's an interesting distinction between when an actor made you cry because of the character/ situation VS. when an actor made you cry because regardless of what was going on in the show, they were just so SO GOOD
Hunter Foster in Urinetown definitely falls into the second category for me. He was just so good that I cried through the whole show.
Felicia P Fields- Hell, No.
Jay Johnson- The Squeaky number when he did not make the cut in Soap. (I love The Two and Only)

La Chanze, Color Purple.
Such a powerful show, that by the last song (cast song) I couldn't contain my tears. I wasn't the only one, and the cast was giving us all sympathetic knowing looks. Very nice memory.

Lonette McKee in Showboat.
Brian Stokes Mitchell in Ragtime.
Tonya Pinkins in Caroline or Change.
Imagen Stubbs in Othello (RSC). She played Desdemona and, as she is singing to Emilia right before she is killed, it was wrenching. (This was a 1989 RSC production that was perfectly acted top to bottom.)
Lea Salonga in Miss Saigon.
Just about every actor in the original production of Angels in America.
I don't remember who I saw in the LA tour of A Chorus Line, but the actor playing Paul killed me during his monologue.

My pick would be Richard Thomas. But it wasn't in one of his Broadway performances, it was one of his made for t.v. movies; 'Wild Hearts'.
Most recently, just last Friday, Alex Gemignani as ValJean in
Les Mis. I was sobbing, I could not stop towards the end and during "Bring him home"
