I celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah. So I got stuff for Hanukkah already. I didn't actually get tickets to anything yet but I got lots of money. So in my eyes I got a lot because I will buy myself tickets with the money I got.
In The Heights Tickets- February (Lin's Last) West Side Story Tickets February 28th (My Birthday!) Guys and Dolls Tickets- Sometime in February Lotto a few times for multiple shows
And I actually got Funny Lady and Cabaret DVDs!
I also got iTunes Gift Card and I bought Sunday OBC so far.
And Amazon gift card that I will most likely spend on some Broadway movie or CD or book.
Howard sing Ashman. It's always great to hear how the songs were born. The Smile disc is peachy, Ashman and Hamlisch sing with so much vim and vigour, their enthusiasm is palpable, who knew from listening to this, it could end so badly.
The great thing with human brains is they're fanless, nice and quiet although I'm sure mine whistles a bit sometimes.
I'm bored, i haven gotten anything yet, but I'll say what i asked for.

I'm a professional. Whenever something goes wrong on stage, I know how to handle it so no one ever remembers. I flash my %#$&.

The one thing I asked for (a ticket to A Little Night Music) I've already been told I'm not getting. My parents were going to get it for me because they knew how much I wanted to go ~ it was the ONLY thing I had asked for ~ but they're both retired and their retirement funds took a big hit in the stock market crash, so Daddy's already said that I'm not getting it. They could surprise me, but since I was informed yesterday that I've got six boxes under the tree, I'm not counting on it.
So... I guess we'll see what happens.

"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
So far a ticket to see a regional production of "Annie"
And then purchased for myself to go under the tree (Mom and Dad needed ideas): A Playbill from Carrie (Opening Night...maybe?) Wicked 5th Anniversary Playbill
My parents and I celebrated Christmas on Sunday cause my mom is working tonight, tomorrow and Friday and we're leaving for Florida on Saturday. I got a few gifts (all wonderful) but nothing broadway related. I actually treated myself to James Barbour's concert yesterday and boy was it worth it.
<--- the set of A Midsummer Night's Dream that I was assistant stage manager for during the 2007 season at the STNJ outdoor stage.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree. ~Dirty Rotten Scoundrels~
There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel. ~Curtains~

DefyGravity777 ~ I hope you enjoy your experience at Wicked! :) That sucks that your family won't get you things you would like just because they don't though.

If having my next month's trip's hotel paid asa Christmas present counts, I'lll be seeing two or three shows.
Also got last-minutes bus trip tickets to "White Christmas." Our local bus company had some cancellations, discounted them deeply (like half-price), so my partner and I thought ...what the hell. We had a sucky weekend last weekend, so some holdiay cheer won't hurt.
I didnt really get anything theatre related but as a late chanukah gift Im taking my sister to sit onstage for the Xanadu tour on january 24. Really excited!!!
