Our main Christmas gift was a trip to New York in January. We're all seeing SHREK, my sisters are going to NYCB, and lil ole me is seeing Stephen Sondheim and Frank Rich at Lincoln Center. Naturally, I'm dying.
BUT, this morning I still opened Patti at Les Mouches, a biography of Brando, and Harold Guskin's "How to Stop Acting."
The DVDs of Singin' In The Rain, My Fair Lady and The Sound of Music. My dad told me he might surpise me with a late Christmas gift which I believe will have something to do with theatre.
-Mamma Mia! on DVD -Kristin Chenoweth's A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas -Wicked 5th Anniversary OBCR -Disney's Annie on DVD -Barnes and Noble Wicked Gift Card (from Wicked Halloween, I presume) -An iTunes gift card. I haven't bought anything yet. I don't know what to get with it.
Anything Goes 1988 Cast Recording Patti at Les Mouches Patti LuPone Gypsy Recording Rocky Horror Picture Show Soundtrack Sweeney Todd Film Poster
It was a very Patti Christmas.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
I got: Putting it Together DVD Company DVD Sweeney Todd in Concert DVD Xanadu Cast Recording In the Heights Cast Recording The Marvelous Wonderettes Cast Recording Four By Sondheim (the librettos for Forum, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, and Sunday in the Park with George)
Mamma Mia DVD Hello Dolly DVD Oliver CD A New Brain CD Sondheim Collection and lots of $$$ which will of course be used for more Broadway stuff. =) Technically this counts as my birthday present but I'm going to see Bernadette in concert in Feb.!!!! yayyy!!!
"DrunkChitaRivera, how is Funny Lady? Every time I go the the mall, I pick it up, but I never actually buy it."
I haven't actually finished it. Let me first start off by saying that Funny Girl is one of my favorite movies. Funny Lady so far isn't as good, I wasn't paying that much attention while watching it as I was multitasking. It was okay so far, maybe if you payed close attention and stuff it would be better. It just isn't as funny, Funny Girl is happier and so far in Funny Lady Fanny is a bitch (a little)...
Also I do not know the date to Lin's last. People have been PMing me asking. I said in my message that I was playing on getting tickets. I did not say the date. Sorry if it was misleading.
Mamma Mia DVD and the Music of Scott Alan cd. And some cash, which chances are will be applied toward tickets for a Broadway show OR to credit card bills to pay off past Broadway excursions.
Ticket to Final Gypsy performance, Ticket to Hedda Gabler, Playbill Binder, Broadway Scrap booking materials, and two freebie tickets to whatever :)
