Was curious if there was a lyric change in this song for Sara Ramirez after she won her Tony.
Anyone?

There were also several different versions in London. I believe they started out with this...
I am sick of my career, always stuck in second gear,
Up to here, with frustration and with fears.
I'm depressed as I can be,
I've got constant PMT.
I'll probably be replaced by Britney Spears!
Britney Spears!
On the London tour cast recording Jodi Prenger sings this one:
My love-life is a mess,
I've got constant PMS,
I am sick to the bottom of my soul.
They hate me there backstage,
They say I'm too old for my age.
I'm constantly replaced by Cheryl Cole!
Cheryl Cole!
and then there were some variations including...
My love-life is a mess,
I've got constant PMS,
I am sick to the bottom of my soul.
They hate me there backstage,
They say I'm too old for my age.
They say I'm worse than Elaine Paige!
Elaine Paige!
Or
My love-life is a mess,
I've got constant PMS,
And my career, is about as hot as ice.
They hate me there backstage,
They say I'm too old for my age.
They're trying to replace me with Posh Spice!
With Posh Spice!

Posted: 9/29/12 at 9:43pmI do recall when Britney Spears was going through her meltdown, they did change her to Posh Spice on Broadway too for a brief time. Or they kept it. I don't remember.

Posted: 10/8/12 at 8:25pmWhen I saw it on Broadway they used the Posh Spice lyric. That was while Clay Aiken was in... Roughly March 2008.

Posted: 10/8/12 at 8:51pmIf the show were still running today they could probably go back to the Britney lyric given her "comeback" on the x factor.

Posted: 10/8/12 at 10:50pmTUTS is producing it this season in Houston. I think they're going to duplicate the Broadway sets, costumes, and what not. It'll be interesting to see what lyrics they do during that part.

Posted: 10/9/12 at 12:40am^I *think* the Posh Spice lyric is in the licensed script, but I'm not 100% sure. I do know it also comes with an appendix and a list of authorized changes and alternate dialogue and lyrics so who knows what they'll do.
