What Happened Between Tom Kitt & Brian Yorkey?

I seem to recall some drama behind the scenes with the musical The Visitor from a few years back, but are these two no longer friends because of creative differences? Brian Yorkey was not at the opening night of Next to Normal in the West End, a show he won a Pulitzer for. Was he avoiding Kitt or is there another reason for his absence?

your gossip mongering is simply gross.  didnt you just get done trying to spread different rumors the mods had to shut down? what will make you stop?

The same thing that happened between Sophia Anne Caruso and Alex Brightman, and Mary Martin and Carol Channing before them: a mild to moderate case of demonic possession. It’s a classic Broadway pitfall: one person gets the demon, the other person gets the headache.

First of all, it you "recall some drama," why would you be asking?

Secondly, as hard as this may be for you to wrap your head around, showing up for a secondary opening of one's show is not nearly as important as you want to make it. Sure, if one is not busy and it fits into things, but it is not that unusual that one has much higher priorities in the scheme of things. 

Third, if he wanted to go and what you "recall" was true, a grown man knows how to navigate around another person at an event without skipping it. 

Finally, as you should (but apparently don't) recognize from the chilly reception you post got here, toxic blind gossip is not cool.

Neither is being self righteous, but clearly there’s no shortage of either on this board. To act like this is the first time anyone on this board has been nosey or gossipy is ridiculous. You all participate in the same nonsense when it’s convenient for you.

It is only self-righteous if you equate sin with uncoolness.
