He did one about My So-Called Life and I haven't heard what's he's up to since.
In their place I've started listening to the "Three on the Aisle" podcast, which has Peter Marks, Terry Teachout, and Elizabeth Vincentelli talking about their favorite theater topics, as well as their favorite (or least-favorite) piece of theater they say in the last couple weeks. They have guests on every once in a while as well. As someone who loves theater criticism, it's a lot of fun, and I listen to it instantly when new episodes come out.

Probably just came down to not making enough from it for the hours it takes to put into something like those podcasts. I know he has a young kid and probably wanted to spend more time with his daughter than editing hours of audio for not much profit. Who knows though?
To be honest I always found the way he got too excited and fanned out hardcore on everybody unprofessional-sounding, but I'm sure other found it charming. I love that he loves performers and shows that much, but you don't need to act like the third lead from a flop show is Patti LuPone. However, he put himself out there and did the work I'm too lazy to do myself so I do miss the podcasts.

He tweeted recently that he is no longer involved with Broadway Backstory, and that TodayTix will be running with it moving forward...

I agree. Every show he talked about, he described as "The most perfect show." They can't all be "the most perfect." Like, is Catch Me If You Can really the most perfect show? Or are you just fangirl-ing over Kerry Butler?

For what it's worth, I've really been enjoying Rory O'Malley's "Living the Dream" podcast. A lot of his interviewees are people he's worked with before. If nothing else it's one actor interviewing another, and the conversations are richer because of it.

I miss Broadway Backstory so much, I hope it comes back. in terms of theatre history podcasts, it's relatively new but I've really been enjoying My Little Tonys. it doesn't have the access of something like Broadway Backstory but it's well-produced and the hosts do their research.

Patrick has been doing a true crime podcast, True Crime Obsessed with Gillian Pensavalle (host of the Hamilcast) for over a year. It's very popular and they are planning a tour, I assume that's why he hasn't been doing his other podcasts. Very funny podcast, if you don't mind the subject matter.

The turnoffs went way beyond the sound for me, heh.
The horrible games (where the directions usually ran longer than the amount of time spent playing the game) and me learning more about what the hosts thought about the guest and the guest's show than getting all that much new info out of the guest ultimately did me in.

Sorry to revive an old thread but have all the episodes of Broadway Backstory been deleted? I wanted to listen to some old episode and I see it show up in Apple Podcasts but it doesn't seem to be able to play
