re: What I love most about ROCK OF AGES being nominated for Best Musical

"What I love most about ROCK OF AGES being nominated for Best Musical is that it IS the best Musical on Broadway. "

I think I just barfed. Oh, and again.
I'm a professional. Whenever something goes wrong on stage, I know how to handle it so no one ever remembers. I flash my %#$&. "Jayne just sat there while Gina flailed around the stage like an idiot."

While I am thrilled at the best musical nom. I was genuinely stunned that Constantine got a best Actor nomination. I had assumed the only potential acting nomination would have been Mitchell Jarvis for supporting actor.
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

Whoohoo! I'm thrilled at all the noms ROA got! Some I expected, some surprised me.

Tho I absolutely love his performance I wasnt expecting Constantine to get one either, I figured Wes would've gotten a featured actor nom and I thought they would've gotten orchestrations over sound design, still 5 noms is awesome.

I love that it was nominated because it surprised so many on this board who come off so spiteful and snobbish.

I love that it was nominated because it IS actually very creative and has the power to uplift, instead of leaving the audience bored or depressed.

I love that Constantine was nominated because I adore his voice and he seems to be a really scrappy hard worker. Even paid his own way to Boston Conservatory (where the charlston teaches and mentors)by working odd jobs. I think his is a very well deserved nod.

No, I don't expect them to win the Tony, but I now see the truth in the common phrase,"it's enough just to be nominated".

Kinkos? lol

I, too, now understand what a thrill it must be for someone to just be nominated.

As a long time Constantine fan, I am beyond happy for him. He's worked so hard for this, and he totally deserves the nomination in my opinion.

The show rocks and is a lot of fun, and I'm thrilled it got the Best Musical nomination.

Let me be delusional for a minute or two, okay? I know the odds are against them winning, but it is nice to dream.

Snarky - couldn't the SAME be said about you?

Why are you crapping on the crappers?

Do you have a better "life resume" that puts you above everyone else, on a gloriously righteous pedestal?

You are bordering on hypocrisy..
