oo, yes, I agree with Anyone Can Whistle and Merrily. I've listened to both, and can follow ACW MUCH better than I can Merrily.
I know next to nothing about Saturday Night, but I guess that should be reason enough for me to want it on Broadway.

Truth be told, I don't like SATURDAY.
And the only thing I like about MERRILY is the score.
ANYONE CAN WHISTLE has always been 50/50, as well. I don't think ANYONE CAN WHISTLE can ever be a successful musical.

Posted: 3/26/08 at 11:16pmA LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, the fact that it hasn't been revived is ridiculous.

Evening Primrose.
A Little Night Music.
With Clay Aiken in Spamalot, all of Broadway is singing a collective "There! Right! There!" -Me-
"Not Barker, Todd is the only person I've ever known who could imitate Katherine Hepburn...in print." -nmartin-

Follies (with Donna Murphy and Victoria Clark, please)
Sweeney (original staging or some variant, with Bernadette Peters)
A Little Night Music (with Angela Lansbury)
Assassins - I didn't see the 2004 "revival," would really like to see a professional production
Into the Woods - anything would be better than the last revival!
Passion

Posted: 3/26/08 at 11:50pmIf Doyle's version is good, I'd love to see it make a transfer to Broadway.

No thanks. Good things were not said for the Doyle version.
I am more interested in the rumored Roundabout version.

Posted: 3/26/08 at 11:55pmOh so am I. I'd much rather see the Roundabout's version. I basically meant that I'd like to see any version of it come to Broadway. And since Doyle's is the only one that has happened so far, I thought if it were good, it could transfer.

I want a great FOLLIES production that keeps Kathleen Marshall 50 miles away from the theatre, starring Victoria Clark and Donna Murphy.
I also want Encores! to do ANYONE CAN WHISTLE with Meryl Streep as Cora, Jane Krakowski as Nurse Apple, and Neil Patrick Harris as Hoover.
After all that, PASSION with Laura Benanti as Clara (though apparently her dream role is Fosca).
