What are some really nice hotels?

In or around the theater district? My boyfriend and I are going in February for Valentines day and we wanna stay somewhere really nice. Any suggestions of some really nice expensive hotels to stay at? Any suggestions for shows? He's never been to NYC before or to a Broadway show. He's only 22 years old so I was thinking Jersey Boys or Billy Elliot or Wicked or something......what do you think?

The Marriott Marquis, but why not save money on the hotel so you will have more to spend when you get there?

Marriott Marquis, The Hilton any big chain like that will be very nice. But if your boyfriend has cash he wants to burn, get him to take you somewhere like The Carlyle.

(You got it, you might as well use it!)

I second the Marriott Marquis-very nice and in the middle of everything.

My bf is a full time x ray tech. He's making 4 digits a week! He's definitely got the money to burn......lol he said I could pick and I've never stayed in a hotel in the City before.....I've always stayed at my friends' places.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn on 39th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. They had free breakfast and free internet. Something the more expensive hotels make you pay extra for. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was only a few blocks from the theatre district. It's not a "luxury" hotel but it suited my needs as a place to lay my head when I wasn't going to shows.

Stay at the Ritz-Carlton Central Park. Just a quick stroll from the theatre district, with that legendary service, that, in my experience, always has been the best out of the national luxury hotel chains.

Oh Jordan......I have a feeling that there is a ring involved with he and I this Valentines Day.....we've been together a year and a half and everything has gone smoothly, with a fight here or there but that makes "making up" more fun. But you're funny.......

Danmag and I love cocktails at The Hotel Carter. Its never crowded and the bar staff is very attentive. You just have to fasten your purse to your body-Danmag can show you how to do it. Oh and put flea collars around your ankles, like in Grey Gardens. Plus, if you want a prostitute to spice things up with your soon to be fiance, theres always one handy in the lobby.

The Hotel Carter's lights aren't really working this week so you'll recognize it as the "Ho El Car" when you see it.

But we just book a room for the weekend at the Marriot Marquis!

If you go to the lower bar (not the spinning one) try the pizza. Delish!

The W hotel. I would be won over if my boyfriend booked a room there.

The lower bar in the Marquis has amazing cocktails, a great view and delish appetizers!

You can catch the Ho El Car next time in NYC. No worries!

The Time is fun- each room is themed to a colour a got a red room w red headboard spread jellie beans postcards. The Bed was luscious/ Do try to upgrade tho as the rooms could be a tad tiny for 2 ( the bed took up all the space practically and there is a nice bar on the main floor. But not a cheap place.
I think it's beside the Eugene ONeill theatre can't get much closer than that!

The Westin in Times Square is very nice - but also very expensive. I think that may have been the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.

Bettyboy, I am headed to NYC in about 2 weeks...I reserved the honeymoon suite at the Hotel Carter. I am packing plenty of flea collars.
