Haven't seen her in the role yet but kind of want to before she leaves. Was she in last night?
(I am *so sorry* to start another Wicked thread)

Posted: 12/21/05 at 12:20pmRue was out on Saturday and Jan N. went on. She was great. Better than Rue.

You'd think she'd show up for her final few performances. How was her attendance record in "The Women"?
Next time the producers ought to think twice about stunt casting in a show that doesn't need it.

I wouldn't really say she was stunt casted. WICKED is the last show that needs stunt casting.
Rue is a fabulous actress - it's too bad she is stuck in a crappy waste of a role. She deserves better and she can do MUCH better.

Posted: 1/4/06 at 8:59pmi still don't know how rue managed to screw this role up. She had such potential, she literally didn't have to act at all and would have been wonderful, but that "accent" ala a pubescent boy just trashed it

Rue has missed a ton of performances in the past few months-- not sure why. I saw Rue in August and didn't care for her at all.
I saw Jan Neuberger a couple weeks ago and she was great!

Sorry WAT. If it's any consulation, I loved her in Golden Girls, but seeing her in Wicked was disappointing.
And I don't think Madam Morrible is a waste of a role, I just think that she managed to make it worse for her than it had to be.

Posted: 1/5/06 at 5:00amI dont think Morrible is a wasted role.... at least I didnt when I saw it with Carole. Its a shame Rue trashed this like it looks she did. She could have been fabulous.

Man, Rue M...ugh. I think she was great in Golden Girls, but that's as far. Sure it's fun to see her on stage, but I hate when people speak lines that are suppose to be sung.
