I am currently reading Ethan Mordden's One More Kiss: The Broadway Musical in the 1970s, but always looking for more to expand my library.

I just finished Her Again: Becoming Meryl Streep by Michael Schulman. I enjoyed it very much. It covers her growing up, college years and her training at Yale, and the earlier part of her career, including theater in New York. Joe Papp plays a big role, and the book goes into depth about her heartbreaking, lost relationship with John Cazale. It covers her early film roles as well.

Reading a Cole Porter biography. A caricature of a beautiful man who lived royally.

Late to the game it seems, but finally reading "Everything was Possible: The Birth of the Musical Follies" by Ted Chapin.

He was still in college and through networking was able to become a fly on the wall throughout the rehearsal process, out-of-town, and Broadway. This was part of his thesis for college, so he took notes throughout the day every single day of rehearsal. Some of his quotes are incredible to read and the fact that they did not have the ending figured out when rehearsals started is baffling. Great read so far for any Follies fan.

I always re-read Sondheim's "Finishing the Hat." Every time I pick it up, I notice something new, whether in the lyric excerpts or his commentary.

I recently purchased the libretto for NINE. It was only $10 at the Drama Book Shop.

I just got "The Great White Way" from the library. It's a book about racism in the American musical (published before Hamilton, obviously). I also got "How Musicals Work (and How to Write Your Own)" and the libretto to Once
