Oh wow! How did that happen? HA HA
Thanks, guys. I humbly accept all the love. Steph would be cracking up at this thread...
Stephanie's voice is incredible and her acting is wonderful! She is also a genuinely kind person. She takes time to talk to her fans and she is so gracious and humble. I'm so touched by her kindness to others.

Stephanie is a unique marvel. She's majorly talented, both as an actress and a blow-you-away singer. What's more, she treats her fans like friends, and there's nothing pretentious about her. She's genuine, through and through. Not only that, but she gives much of her time to charity events and causes she believes in. She's very family oriented, too. And I love that she's far from jaded; she's still very excited about every new job (the upcoming Irish pirate vehicle, in particular). I got to know her a bit through numerous visits to THE BOY FROM OZ and made it a point to catch her Elphaba in DC when the touring company of WICKED played at the Kennedy Center. I'd seen the show in NY before but this was the first time I could really feel Elphaba's vulnerabilty and insecurity. Stephanie was truly glad to see me, and we had a nice catch-up chat. She was gracious and accommodating to every fan there. What more is there to say? Just a super-talented person and an exemplary human being. I'm looking forward to her next Birdland gig in June.
Stephanie Love...
There are so many things about this woman. Yes talent, kindness and love of fans are a big part of it, however the way she encourages and relates to others is a big one for me. Also, she's not just a pretty face..... she is very intelligent, articulate and creative. You can carry a conversation with Stephanie on many topics. She must be well read.
So not only can that girl sing...but she has brains and heart.
YAY, Fachedaluna, keep the love thread alive! :)
I really can't wait to see her at Birdland this June.

And her amazinggg version of "Don't Rain on My Parade."
Don't hate me, but I didn't love her as Elphaba. However, I would kill to see her as Fanny Brice :]
Her expressive eyes and her effervencence <-(sp ?). If you have ever spoken to her when she's excited, you'll know what I'm speaking of...she draws you in and makes you excited with her.
Really looking forward to Birdland!
is she the Elphaba in the promo video for Chicago on the website?
mejusthavingfun ~
Yes that is her in the promo but, just in case you aren't familiar, she's not currently in the Chicago cast or with WICKED anymore. She left the national tour back in March and The Pirate Queen is her next project.

Steph is not just one of the kindest people I have ever met, she is one of the BEST people I have ever met. I've posted this elsewhere, so I'll just make it (fairly) short and sweet:
One of my high school students corresponded with Steph, who was extraordinarily kind and generous with her time in responding, so, although I had seen her in WICKED but had never written "fan mail" before, I wrote to thank her for both her performance and her interest in my student...and to (audaciously!) invite her to our high school were she ever to come back to the area.
After a few e-mails back and forth, she, Sebastian Arcelus, James Tabeek, Erin Mackey, and Timothy Allen Green showed up at our high school that Friday afternoon...in a driving rainstorm (I'm not exaggerating when I say it's one of the worst I've seen outside a hurricane--there was flooding and loss of power in a lot of places by nightfall)...and spent an hour and a half with us, just answering questions and giving advice, then signing autographs and taking pictures. All five were onstage about three hours after they walked out the door.
Since then, I got a chance to see her at a benefit in town, and to spend time chatting afterwards. Truly an amazing talent...but an even MORE amazing person with whom I have been blessed to cross paths.
Steph=LOVE.

Aye, Wendy, Steph is just AMAZING!
The first time I saw her sing NNL (vid on site) I was like, WOW. I immediately loved the lyrics, and her voice with them just made everything more than complete. Not only that, but her stage presence is always there, it's so obvious how she just loves being out there. With her talent, her kindness, and her stage presence, she has more than what most performers have.

She can play so many parts. From Liza Menelli (Boy from OZ) to Wicked and Pirate Queen
Her voice gives me chills. I also think she is absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention such a sweet and down to earth person. I guess i love everything about Steph!
