There was such a big to do two years ago about this coming back.
Good question. Wasn't Chenowith supposed to be starring in it? (I can't see her in the role, myself....but....). Again, I may be wrong but I think this needs a 'star' name in it to sell tickets.

The name I had heard was Jane Krakoswki. I would like to see this show re staged in a very intimate setting. And hopefully it is not a carbon copy of the original which has been done regionally and in stock for years.
I'm probably one of the very few who actually liked the 1982 movie with Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds. I loved the music as well. I do recalled it got panned by critics, saying it was a stripped down version of the stage musical - though I've never seen the stage musical.
The investors talked a good game, but then couldn't get it up... typical.

I know. Would love to see Reba back on Broadway in this.

I think Beverly D'Angelo would have made a good Miss Mona in her day, though now in her mid-60s I think that ship might have sailed.
I would love to see Reba in this with Clint Black as Ed Earl!!!
With today's GHD announcement, Andy Karl is now available for Ed Earl. And why not Orfeh for Miss Mona?
