I thought I had read that she and her then husband owned the last set she toured with. Topol also had a Fiddler set.

Dollypop you must be Australian or have ancestors with some 'strine' in them as 'DUNNO' is exactly our lazy way of speaking. 'Donno, ask im, e tinks e noes everytink'.

I like the fascinator Carol wore in the original better than the one used in Bette's revival. I just like how the feathers look. I also like how the original dress had that lighter color in the front, it made all the ladies who wore it look slimmer.

Unless they went rogue I would have to assume it's Clark Transfer. Their main office is in Harrisburg, PA, though I don't know if that's also where they store their trailers.

Just want to add that sets and costumes are often repurposed: I worked on a very lavish "revisal" of MACK AND MABEL in the mid-1970s that was costumed almost entirely from clothes worn in the Broadway revival of NO, NO, NANETTE five years earlier. The clothes even arrived in the NANETTE trunks and were then fitted on to our cast in Florida.
Same historical period, so why not?

Not nearly as glamorous, but when I did a regional production (as a kid) of Brigadoon in the early 80's, we used the costumes from the recent Broadway revival.

Posted: 6/4/20 at 9:25pmThere's still the possibility of a non-Equity DOLLY! being sent out so I'm sure the costumes are in storage.
