Namo's Pole Dance. I only brought home $3.25 in tips last night. Dang that Janet and her right boob.
well i kinda figured never gonna dance was not going to stay open for very long...my guess is "Anna In The Tropics" and maybe "Thoroughly Modern Millie" once Sutton leaves
Nah....I don't Think Thoroughly Modern Millie is going anywhere any time soon....And I'm glad, I love that show!!!
See Ya!
Phantom05
Either
The Producers
Wicked
The Lion King
or Mamma Mia
*turns off the faucet* Sorry it was dripping sarcasm
lol sumofallthings...
I agree with Anna in the Tropics, its capacity hasn't been very impressive.
Is your glass half empty or half full?
Rent, I hope. It's seen its days.

Aida
Phantom of the Outhouse
Rent
Retreat From Moscow
Ticket sales are always down in the winter. Why don't they wait a little.
I have it from a good source that ANNA IN THE TROPICS will be announcing its closing date soon.
Phantom isn't going anywhere. The movie comes out next year which will boost sales for the broadway production for at least another year afterwards....look what the film Titanic did for the non-related and non-thrilling musical TITANIC.
I agree that RENT has seen its days.. it just smells old.... plus when BARE opens, it's going to make a show like Rent look really dated. All the Rent-Heads will convert to Bare-backers
Deborah Cox coming into Aidia may drive some incremental attendance but probably not much. I mean, when was the last time she had a hit song?
broadwayguy2- Are you gonna be a "bare-backer"?

only for Adam.......
Yeah--I'd sign up for one too :)
eep, here we go again =/
I will never understand people who "HOPE" RENT closes. I'm tired of re-hashing this same old topic, so I don't even know why i'm bothering to respond lol but really, how can a show "smell old"?
Have you guys seen the show recently? RENT has some great years left, i know =)
But I do have to comment on this "bare" thing: Bare will never, ever compare or be equal to RENT. Ever. And I couldn't dissagree more about it making RENT look more dated. And personally, I don't know any RENTheads who would "convert", but, whatever.

I don't believe the POTO movie will boost ticket sales. The show is already well-known. It will be different when The Producers movie comes out. I also think Susan will do an amazing job as Millie.
broadwayguy2- Looks like you got some competition, huh?

Gwen is back in the ensemble. Soon people will be paying a grand for standing room.

RENT is but barely a glimmer f what it was....
years I HIGHLY doubt unless they pull something BIG to boost it
have you see bare yet? This staging of it?? UM>> NO.. so don't criticize it.

If you're talking about Gwen Stewart, she left yesterday.
