He's recently expressed on twitter that he wants a break from Broadway, musicals specifically. He never intended to follow up OTTC so soon, but Groundhog Day came his way and he couldn't pass up the role. I don't blame him for wanting to step away for a bit. He did the show for two months in London, transferred it to Broadway, won an award for his work in London, tore his ACL, barely got to perform on opening night, his show was overshadowed by other things and polarized audiences in the US, then closed, losing most of it's Broadway investment.
Dude deserves to take a nice long vacation if he wants it.
