Has anybody heard why Kristin Chenoweth is leaving Promises in September? I could only hope that she is working on a new musical but I assuming she will be going back to LA. Does anybody know if there is a specific show or movie she will be doing?
She signed on for Promises (as opposed to Minsky's) because she only wanted to commit for 6 months. At the time she didn't have anything specific lined up, but she wanted to keep her options open for potential TV or movie offers.
Speaking of which, whatever happened to Minsky's?

Ryan Murphy confirmed she'll be appearing once again as April Rhodes on GLEE.
I recall an interview when she did The Apple Tree and she said that she gets bored very fast (or similar words). That explained to me why she left Wicked so soon and I guess explains the short contract with Promises, Promises.
Well I guess that is smart on her behalf. It means she wants to keep her performances fresh.

She said in one interview that she will be working on her 4th album and touring in support of it.
How about her own television show called KRISTEN.....oh, wait.
sounded like a good idea in theory, no?
I would expect a sitcom titled KRISTEN would fare better than that quickly-cancelled-6-episodes-only 2001 NBC sitcom she starred in titled KRISTIN did.
Its a shame KRISTIN the sitcom didn't wait until Kristin the person was a little more known. I can only imagine that when it premiered (while she was a TONY award winner) very few TV viewers knew who she was. Not that KRISTIN would fare well these days either, it may have lasted slightly longer after Wicked, Pushing Daisies, the Emmy, and GLEE.
It may also have lasted longer if it was, y;know, any good.
I love her, but...that was baaaaaad.
Id love to see her back as Miss Hannigan. I think she'd knock that out of the park.
^ Agreed. Love the idea.
There's no need for her character to come back to Glee. That story's been told, let it go.
Although who am I kidding? This is Glee. As much as I love it, the writing sucks and will probably continue to.
She'll be filming the sequels to Bewitched, Running with Scissors, RV, Deck the Halls, Four Christmases, and Into Temptation.
No amount of fame could have saved KRISTIN, a simply atrocious sitcom, one of the worst examples of the almost defunct genre (multi-camera sitcoms, that is). It was so painfully bad!
I really wish she got a good and actually successful TV project, it seems she really found a niche on TV and she is a terrific comedienne. It's such a shame PUSHING DAISIES suffered such a poor fate, it was truly the perfect role for her and she was brilliant throughout. Hopefully next time she does stage it'll be in a role that actually fits her.
I hear she's discussing several projects:
Miss Havisham in David Copperfield, the NEW musical (as opposed to Copperfield)
The Crypt Keeper in Tales from the Crypt, the Musical
Skeletor in Masters of the Universe, the Musical
June Allyson in It All Depends
It was that writers strike that made Pushing Daisies suffer. And crappy advertising for the second season.

newintown, Kristin was looking at those projects but Calista Flockhart decided she should give musical theatre a shot!

Hopefully, a nice well earned, well deserved vacation/time out for herself to recharge and then on to the next project. Glad that she is going to do an episode of Glee (reccurring character perhaps). Doing another CD and touring a little would be wonderful too. The film Wicked is a great project for her too.
Personal wise, maybe marriage/children???? Who knows! I really like her and anything she does is simply marvelous.
