good god I don't understand how people even have the guts to do that kind of stuff. When I saw SA and met John Gallagher Jr. I was speechless. I mean I had to fight just to get a word out. I don't get how people could actually ask about their sex life and other invasive things thats just freaky.
That is just scary. I think I would be embarrassed if I knew anyone who did any of that stuff, or if I started doing it. At least if you are going to stage door a show more than once, space it out.

What I also don't like, that has happened to me before, are people commenting about you to an actor at the stage door. I think that is rude, and a little embarrassing. For example, when I did Xanadu, I wanted to say more to Cheyenne Jackson than I ended up saying. I just got caught in the large crowd making me a little uncomfortable, and getting scared with talking to him, so I was a tiny bit unprepared when he came up to me. I said "hi," handed him my playbill, and that was it. The girls standing next to me took my quietness as being "fan girly," so they said something along those lines to Cheyenne about me. However, that was not the case, I was just really shy and afraid of talking.

Years ago, I met Anthony Newley at the stage door after a performance of Greasepant. (I was jut a kid.) He was very nice, thanked me for coming, shook my hand, talked for a couple of minutes, and moved on. But he did seem to appreciate the fact that I was a fan of his.

When I met John Gallagher Jr. I was nervous and he asked me if I liked the show and I go " So you wearing a wig, it was not your real hair" he laughed and we had a long convo. When I said the hair thing the fangirl who had seen the show like 18 times she was bragging gave a ugh and said obviously and then John Gallagher Jr. came to her and just for doing that he would not sign the fangirl's playbill.

Another thing: when posing for pictures, don't put your arm around the performer unless they put their arm you first.

I'm 22, I didn't see Chorus Line, but the original cast recording does document the performance, so to say you liked them in a show you didn't have a chance to see, isn't a bad thing.

In fact, when I remarked to Lenora Nemetz that I loved her in "Working" she knew I meant the CD (and was shocked I knew the show at all).

I too am not old enough to have seen the original. However, in this case, Mrs. Lopez responded with "Oh, you mean the recording?" Clearly confused. This kid responded back with the same "I loved you in A Chorus Line" and she looked at him like he had four heads.
