Looking at a board like that takes me back twenty plus years or so.
I do think they've made a common mistake on boards like these, which is over-separation of topics into distinct subforums (the entire Box Office section could arguably just be one board instead of 4, particularly when 3 of the boards have no more than a few dozen posts). This typically leads to over-policing of being "on topic" and leads to some boards just totally languishing. For me, there's a sweet spot between a free-for-all like on Reddit or All That Chat and an overly categorized board like TheatreBoard.
