Posted: 2/17/06 at 2:45pmI just saw a clip of Adam Pascal singing "If You Could See Her Through My Eyes." He's awesome. He always is. He sounds awesome when he sings anything. He can take any song in the world and make it his own. I could REALLY kill to see him play Billy Flynn in Chicago. He even looks the part. Either him or Jesse Martin. Another thing, if somebody adapted David Bowie's "LABYRINTH" for the Broadway stage, he'd be everybody's first choice as Jareth. Think of something else he'd be good at.

I'd like to see him in something new and original, if anything. Not a revival. Or as a replacement.

- If Chess is ever revived, Freddy
- Billy Flynn, as well. Which he has taken interest in.
This'll never happen, but I really would love to see him play Hedwig. Also, maybe one of the male parts in Feeling Electric, if that ever were to go anywhere... which it might. If anyone says Freddy in DRS, I will cry.
Hell, anything. blah. Preferably something totally new.
I think, even though I'm one of his biggest fans, it's hard to sit and make a list of things I'd like to see him do, because I can think of so few existing parts (especially in things that might be revived and whatnot) that would work for his voice.

Posted: 2/17/06 at 2:52pmI'd like to hear him sing Jesus in SUPERSTAR, but I'm not really convinced of his acting chops - and plus we'd have to go through his mullet hair again...

Posted: 2/17/06 at 2:54pmI knew I forgot something. That's the one he says he'll never do, even though he'd sound perfect. Or as Judas, even.

Posted: 2/17/06 at 2:57pmWhy wouldn't he do that role? Of all the roles written in musical theatre its one of the few he's vocally ideal for. Is he catholic or something?

Maybe because he knows his acting limitations? Hate to say.
Or he doesn't like ALW?
Maybe he will be Enjolras in Les Mis. That would certainly be interesting! Just kidding.

He just doesn't like it.
There's a thing on Broadway.com from YEARS ago. It was one of those things where you can e-mail questions and the actors answer them. Someone said he should play Judas, and he was basically like "no way, that's not a show I would ever consider doing."
He's changed since then, though. When he said that he was so resistant toward anything that might pigeon-hole him. Hence Cabaret.
So..... *shrug*
Fiyero almost happened, apparently. I was not thrilled.

But, Em! Think how EASY it would be to see him!
#10re: What role could you see Adam Pascal playing
Posted: 2/17/06 at 3:02pmHe probably wouldn't want to do this either, but I'd kill to see him in Godspell.
My avatar: Yummy, no?

Posted: 2/17/06 at 3:02pmWell, I know around the time RENT opened - most of the leads thought they were on their way to pop careers and thought they'd never be back on Broadway...little did they know. So maybe he's changed his mind.

Em - I meant MEET him, not see him in the show.

That's from when he was in AIDA. The FIRST time.

It's probably null, but I can see him as Judas more than Jesus. Judas' songs are more rock-like, and I'd love to hear his "Judas' Death."
Too bad he's too old to play the son in Feeling Electric. The guy who played him looked a lot like him in my opinion.
And from the description I read, though he may be too old here, it seems like he could make a good Joey in "Pal Joey." Certainly shares the confidence of the character

Could you imagine Adam playing Jerry in TFM?
I think he would crack on th last note in MAN everytime, sadly.
#18re: What role could you see Adam Pascal playing
Posted: 2/17/06 at 3:37pmI think he could hit that. It's not THAT high. But I can't imagine it.

That WOULD be weird - a rocking Jerry.
But, as much as I enjoy his work, I didn't enjoy Will. he was too immature I thought. Too young.

Posted: 2/17/06 at 3:42pmWell he did reach the Seasons of Love high note on the My Favorite Broadway: The Love Songs DVD concert. I wouldn't underestimate him.

Any role would be fine with me, as long as he comes back to Broadway
#23re: What role could you see Adam Pascal playing
Posted: 2/17/06 at 3:44pmYeah but he did it once. Doesn't mean he can do it consistently. It's not a matter of underestimating his (ridiculous) range, but of doubting his consistency.

Haha, yea, Cats.
Singing is one thing. Singing naked is another.
But I mean that I would like to hear him ROCK out with "Breeze Off the River"
I dunno why.
