I love what I've heard of his musical version of The Talented Mr. Ripley.
A bit tangential, can anyone tell me why its called Easter Rising?
It's CALEB.
Pegasus, think re-birth,
I think it refers to a new life,
an attempt to correct old wrongs.
I hear the book has been greatly altered since Joe's Pub.
i heard that too curtain and also kevin I appreciated that although the story could get a bit melodramatic they played it with a lot of humor. I am 100% with you that Steven Pasquale was Brilliant as Caleb...he needs to come back the theater ASAP! I really loved that whole cast!

Yeah, I also heard that the book is completely different and also that Michael wrote it himself. It sounds pretty intriguing...meanwhile there are some really great moments in Isaac Oliver's book, there were definite flaws.
As for the title, I've wondered about that myself, especially because when I mention Easter Rising people usually tend to think it's a musical about THE Easter Rising in Ireland. But I like Curtain's interpretation, but I've also thought that it was because it takes place around Easter.
I'm pretty sure that he's going to be playing Riff-Raff in the Rocky Horror benefit.
As for Easter Rising, it's one of my favourite musicals (with Not Afraid being my favourite song) and I really hope that it gets a production.

There are a couple more Michael songs at http://www.kerrigan-lowdermilk.com/music.html. The songs are by Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk--good stuff. They used to have a lot more songs up, but have since taken them down. Anyway, I love Michael's voice on "Run Away With Me." Enjoy!
Omg that show sounds awesome janelle just based on the cast. Arden and Parker Posey?? Can't get better. and yeah Jess I LOVE Michael Arden doing the Kerrigan/Lowdermilk stuff...he sounds incredible

I don't trust Fox with live comedy. So far they've churned out crap.
How big of a role did he play in "The Good Sheperd"? I didn't know he was in that.
Iread this script a while ago. It's really good. Arden is a lucky man. Good for him!
He's one of the boys in the Gilbert and Sullivan scene, along with his old BARE co star John Hill.

Let's not consider this a live comedy quite yet. Amy Sherman-Palladino is a tremendedy talented writer. She's hilarious. . . but "The Gilmore Girls," while always considered a comedy by award show standards (it was always in the comedy category for best series and best actress) was more of a dramedy than anything else.
