It will vanish into a mysterious realm of forgettable musicals. Just add it to that list.

It will never go off broadway. It is the best show on broadway right now.

I think you're setting yourself up for some big disappointment. This time next year, it'll probably be gone.
I think it could probably do well on tour. That is, if the producers are willing to risk investing even more money on it.

its not doing so hot in the Box Office...so I'll give it till Christmas (or maybe after that to maybe kick up some revenue from the holidays) but after that...it will prolly close. OR, it wont survive the cast change.

I really enjoy this show. It has everything a person can want in a broadway show. A great score amazing effects and talented actors. I hope it stays on broadway a long time.

What's next? Tomorrow's show!
(LAUGH TRACK!)
I think that, once you get the new cast in, the show's audience will really start to dwindle.
This is just an estimation, but I'm betting the show'll be gone before 2020.

I think the show can hold up even when the big names leave. I really don't see it going anywhere for a while.

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble, maybe we can eat it for Thanksgiving.

it'll likely be touring, but not definitely, in the 2009/10 season:

I really enjoyed this show, but judging from how poorly the ticket sales have been I am surprised (but pleased) that some think it will last until next year.
I guess when some other shows close that will possibly increase sales.

I think if this show is going to close it is not going to be the first show of the season to close. I think we will see a few shows close before it.

I forsee closure by Aug. Sept of this summer. I do not forsee it staying... someone I know was at a recent friday night performance and the theatre was only about 50-60 % full thats horrible.

I just really like Young Frankenstein I think it is a well put together musical. I really think more people need to give it a chance.

I saw it twice and shelled out the big bucks, so Mel could enjoy another few drinks. Courtesy of me.
I gave it a chance and thought it was pretty dreadful.

I liked it as well and thought it was actually better than The Producers.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

i doubt it will close until early 2009, Mel's name alone gives it enough publicity

Thats true and Mel Brooks probably has enough money to keep it going for a while.

I agree that it is a much better show than 'The Producers' - now in my opinion THAT show was overrated.

Maybe I am missing something. But aren't the $450 seats, premium seats? Just because you don't buy a premium seat doesn't mean you have a bad seat. We went with a group and some of us sat on the main floor for $111 and thats exactly what we paid for Curtains, Rock N' Roll and Mary Poppins. So the tickets aren't overpriced. I really think he made them $450 so people would start talking.
