What should we see (Labor Day Weekend edition)?

Have 3 open slots, for B'way or Off B'way:

Saturday Matinee
Saturday Night
Sunday Matinee

Prefer not to spend retail price, if possible, I'm not seeing much in the way of quality seating on the discounts, though.

A little about us:

Favorite non-huge Musical of last 10 years: Urinetown
Favorite non-huge Play of last 10 years: Lieutenant of Inishmore (duh)

Loved Hand to God earlier this year, as well as An Iliad, so our likes are quite varied.

TDF member, but not much is listed (yet) for that weekend that intrigues us, other than Cock (first joke in is allowed, after that you're just being repetitive).

We've already seen all the long running shows

All things being equal we'd like to see on B'way: Best Man, One Man/Two Guvners, and I guess Once. Off B'way we'd like to see Old Jews Telling Jokes, but I bet there's something else out there for us as well.

Suggest away!

Out of what you specifically listed: I loved Once, I loved One Man, Two Guvs, heard mostly good things about The Best Man -- but a little less since the new cast.

Once has been on tkts a bit -- but I don't know how often, and One Man Two Guvs is often there.

I also liked Peter and the Starcatchers -- but it's not for everyone.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

From your affinity profile, I can almost guarantee that if you miss One Man, Two Guvnors, you would be very unhappy.

You could try and catch one of the final performances of CLYBOURNE PARK, which I think is the best show in New York right now. TRIBES is also excellent.

Urinetown is also my favorite show few know about, and I loved One Man (not at U'town's level, but not many shows are). Two people whose tastes match mine pretty well have very strongly recommended Old Jews Telling Jokes to me. I'm not sure Best Man (which I enjoyed but I'm a political wonk) fits in with your show profile all that well. Once is my fav show running right now, but I'm not sure how much under list you'll get it.
This wasn't near as helpful as I hoped it might be when I started typing, sorry 'bout that

I loved One Man, and really enjoyed Once and Best Man, so you can't go wrong with any of those. I too loved and recommend Peter and the Starcatcher.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

Forbidden Broadway is a lot of fun, and you can probably get TDF tickets. Old Jews and Tribes are on my list to see, and I've heard good things.

Thank you for all the advice.

I absolutely hate most farce (Noises Off is by far my least enjoyed show ever), but I do like British farce (more Python, please!), so Guvners is definitely on the list. Broadway Box doesn't have much good for that, Best Man, or Once, though.

Already seen Clybourne Park, great recommendation from here from our last trip to NYC.

I know nothing about Tribes.

So we saw:

Sat Matinee: One Man (discussed in the One Man threads)
Sat Night: Nice Work (it was what I expected it would be, in other words just a bunch of fun)
Sun Matinee: Cock (TDF). I was pleased with the show for the TDF price, would not have been so pleased at $80 or more.
