What show to see (Sorry for making another thread) #1

Well, I'm sorry for making another thread on this.
My family & I are going to be in the city on Wednesday April 23rd
My mom and Sister have tix to LM for the Matinee which leaves my dad and me with an open slot for a show. What should we see?
We were thinking
Passing Strange
Rent (for the 15th time)
Spamalot
Spring awakening (for my 4th time his 3rd he really doesn't wanna see SA again tho)
Or Curtains
I want to try to get into these shows relatively cheap (Rush, SRO, Lotto $25-35 seats)
Any other suggestions
Thanks

I'd see In The Heights. I know you're a big RENThead, its seems that people who like RENT love ITH. I'm a proud RENThead, and I've got tix for ITH this Saturday. YOu can always do the lotto for ITH.
ITH video-its great!

Off your list I'd do Spamalot!

In the Heights
And if you're so sorry for making another thread, why did you do it?

We were going to save In the heights for the night show bc I think it would be a good show for us all to see as a family.
For the Mat. I was thinking of seeing something that isn't exactly a show for a nine year old
Ie. the one's in the list minus Rent bc she's seen it with us
I've also noticed that some shows don't have a 2PM show on that Wednesday anyone know why?

I saw Ave Q & Hated it
I just realized that Rent might not have a show since its a Wednesday and they are ususally dark on Wednesdays.

Posted: 3/31/08 at 7:48pmI vote for Curtains. Even the mezz seats are good. Not sure what discounts are out there right now. Now, for a treat, they're $57.50, but day-of partial view seats are really cool. If you get the first 2 or 3, you're dead center and the only time it's "partial" is when the conductor pops up a couple of times.

I've been reading that Sunday & August are very good. Would they be a good choice for the Mat on Wednesday? Is August strict with there rush police is 1 per ID bc I need 2 tix. How about Sunday I know they have rear mezz seats how are those? What are Sunday & August about exactly? (A guy hanging out in a park on a sunday in august lol)
Also We are thinking In the Heights for the night show but ticket master doesn't list a night show for that night is it a misprint? Bc they have a Mat that day but not a night show. Also how are those rear mezz seats bc I'm thinking we'll try lotto but then if we don't win buy cheap rear mezz unless they give discounts.

If you really need help answering the question "What is Sunday in the Park With George about?" Google is your friend.
No, Heights doesn't have a night show on Wed 4/23. No, I don't know why, they just don't. And if you can still find rear mezz available for Heights you'd want to snap them up right now- they've been selling very well.

BUMP.
I am bumping this thread because I understand that too many are annoying and some people get pissed.
My family and I decided to go to the city together tomorrow to see a show. We are planning on getting tickets that morning at TKTS or the box office with discount codes. We want to see a show we have all never seen before. Here are some of the shows we have never seen before:
Avenue Q
August: Osage County
Grease
Mamma Mia!
Spamalot
South Pacific
The Little Mermaid
Xanadu
Young Frankinstein
We were leaning towards Mamma Mia or The Little Mermaid. I don't think Avenue Q is up their ally, my mother is a more traditional, feel good, Spring Awakening makes me bitter gal.
I would love any suggestions though based on the info that I've given. Thanks in advance

Posted: 7/26/08 at 8:02pmSouth Pacific will definitely not be on TKTS. Mamma Mia! probably won't be either, it hasn't been up in over a week. I'd go with Spamalot or Young Frankenstein.
re: What show to see (Sorry for making another thread) #22
Posted: 7/26/08 at 8:44pmSpamalot is fun. Mamma Mia! is awesome too, but it might actually be difficult to get tickets right now because of the movie being out. But I could be wrong.
