"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!"
Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!
I went to a high school of the performing Arts, and we usually did 4 shows a year, not counting the dance and music concerts, which I was also in. So, here it is:
Freshman year: Quilters (Various male roles) My Fair Lady (Lord Boxington & Ensemble)
Sophomore Year: Into the Woods (Male understudy, and when Cinderella's Father did not show up for the first performance, i was told, at the last minute, to get into costume, thus the part became mine) Dreamgirls (was cast as Dave, but had to drop out due to getting a job.)
Junior Year: The Odd Couple - Female version (Jesus) The Me Nobody Knows (Carlos) Carnival (Roustabout #1)
Senior Year: The Rainmaker (Noah Curry) The Importance of Being Earnest (Algernon) The Rite of Spring (Le Sacre du Printemps by Igor Stravinsky - a modern ballet) Big River (Tom Sawyer)
"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive.
"Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot."
"No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one."
Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.
Freshman Year - Guys and Dolls (didn't participate) Sophomore Year - Fame (we got to dress up in 80s clothes for when we had to go onstage, and we got fired at the end by our excessively anal director. Our crew has never had such a great time.) Junior Year - West Side Story Senior Year - Joseph...
We made some amazing sets. Since I left, they've done Footloose (the worst production I've ever seen my high school do) and this year is Oklahoma!.
I wasn't really involved in theater until my junior year when we did "Guys & Dolls" where I was a extra/Runyonite. I helped with costumes and had a lot of fun with that.
Senior year we did "Sound of Music" and I was a nun. I was costume mistress and between the 20 nazi armbands the way-too-many-to-count whimples for the nuns, I don't really like this show anymore. It doesn't help that our cast wasn't the greatest -- the best talent had graduated the year before.
I do wish I had gotten involved sooner -- especially behind the scenes with the costuming.
I am still in high school... graduating this year woo-hoo!!! Anyways these are the show we have done: Plays: Stage Door- Bernice Niemyer Beyond Reasonable Doubt- Lady Metcalfe Our Town- Small various roles Midsummer Nights Dream- Egeus(changed to a woman role)
Musicals: Annie- One of the French maids Charlie Brown- did not participate Cinderella- Joy wicked Stepsister Currently we are getting ready to start Honk! I paly Queenie and Henrietta
Those are the shows we have done in my High School. I have to say my favourite one is Cinderella. I had so much fun with that character!
I remember, my first year of High School. I was organised to audition for Annie after school, but I was so scared. I stood outside the audition room for half an hour, saying 'Im gonna do it, im gonna do it'. So much time had past, I missed the bus AND my audition time. I walked home for about 2hrs.

"This is what I trained to do, and this is what I love about theater. What I love about being an actress is being able to really look into myself and understand another human being. And out my own self, to shape and form and fashion a real human being--and to present that in such a way that people see something of themselves or their own understanding in that human being."
--Phylicia Rashad
