What shows do you have no interest in seeing this season?

I know this sounds every-so-slightly jaded - and no offense to those of you who are enthusiastic about the following shows - but I'm surprised how LITTLE interest I have in so many of the most highly-anticipated shows coming up: TABOO! (though I was surprised how much I liked the song that was performed on BoB)BOY FROM OZ (always thought there was something creepy about Peter Allen...like an Australian Neil Sedaka) and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Saw it, liked it off-Broadway, but don't feel any great need to see it again).

And I was very enthusiastic about WICKED, but I was dissapointed in "The Wizard and I' as it's kind of a generic power-pop "yearning" ballad, so I've gone off it a touch for now. I was indifferent to BOUNCE but the fact that it has elicited so many opinions pro and con, the raves about Richard Kind's performance and the fact that it is being radically re-worked has pricked my interest in it. It may be good or may be bad, but I don't think it will be UNINTERESTING.

No desire seeing:
Never Gonna Dance
The Boy From Oz

Really want to see:
Wicked (getting tix Sat.)
LSOH (seeing it Sat.)
Taboo (after seeing it on BoB)
(does anyone know where I can hear that song on like a specific Boy George cd or somewhere on the internet?)

I have tickets for Wicked and LSOH. I want to see Never Gonna Dance, Boys from Oz, Taboo, Bombay Dreams and Wonderful Town. Not interested in Avenue Q.

I just saw Avenue Q last night and it was fantastic! I have to see it again to catch the lines I missed. I haven't laughed so much in a long time. Looking forward to Boy from Oz. I've seen Wicked, but will catch it once it opens on Broadway.

Though I liked the song on BoB, I'm not that interested in Taboo. I'll see LSOH because I'm curious.

I have tickets to Wicked, primarily because I am a fan of the novel. I have grown less and less psyched about the show, for some reason. So I suppose with lowering expectations, I may end up enjoying it.

I'd like to see Ave. Q, but what I would LOVE to see is Caroline, Or Change. I hope I get the chance.

Whoops, I forgot WONDERFUL TOWN. That I do want to see. Especially if they give Brent the male lead as has been rumored.

BOMBAY DREAMS? Nah. Don't think so. I admit that I'd feel a touch more interested if ALW were not attached to it.

Anyone else feel like maybe Steve Perry has undergone the 'change' and has turned up as Idina Menzel? I bet you'll never see those two in a room together.

Going to see wicked Nov. 4 because a) I LOVED that book and b) got a friend in it.

Also have a friend in HARMONY. And since it seems a show I could probably be cast in at some point, I should most certainly see it.

I have no interest in seeing Never Gonna Dance or Taboo. However, I might see the latter out of curiosity. If I have the money to throw away. Wicked is definitely on my priority list, as well as Wonderful Town. I REALLY need to see Avenue Q already.

I hear you Balladeer, I too need to see Avenue Q already! Probably on flea market day.
I wouldn't be particularly thrilled for Boy From Oz or Taboo if Hugh Jackman and Raul Esparza weren't (respectively) in the casts. I'm dying for Wicked, though I'm worried about how different it's going to be from the book...I loved that book. I'll probably begin re-reading it on the train tomorrow, where I'm FINALLY going to see LSOH!

MasterLcZ....

Don't judge Wicked or "The Wizard and I" based on the Broadway on Broadway performance. I'm not sure what they did to "The Wizard and I" but it didn't sound much like the same song other than the ending where Idina belts her little green heart out of "Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii".

Did anyone else notice that Jane Krakowski introduced her as "Indina Menzel?" Indina? LOL

I'm definately going to see Boy From Oz and Ave Q. I saw Wicked in SF, but am very curious about the changes. Taboo entices me more than a bit.
I'm visiting NYC in October and I'm dizzy with anticipation.

Oh yeah, I guess I should stay on the true topic by saying that I have no interest in seeing LSOH or Wonderful Town.

Boy from Oz at least has star power going for it (tho I couldn't care less about the show or Peter Allen, a third-rate talent, and really, who cares?)--Avenue Q I'm curious about. The rest---yeccch. Boring, boring, ever so boring. It will take stunning reviews of the first order and a tidal wave of positive word-of-mouth for me to lay down cold, hard cash for anything else this season.

Golda's Balcony is wonderful. I was so moved by Tovah Feldshuh's performance, I wrote to her online. I received a nice reply also. The audience was awestruck. I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the show.

I have tickets to "Wicked", liked the book, hope it isn't sugarard up. Feel " been there done that" about LSOH. BoB number created interest in "Taboo", but would have to know a lot more about it before I lay my money down. What I don't understand is the fuss about Hugh Jackman. He's a nice enough looking fellow, but I watched bits of a move called "Kate and Leopold", primarily because of all the buzz on the boards about him. The movie was beyond awful and he didn't do much to save it...He must sing really well. Never..Dance is of no interest to me. Looking forward to Drowning Crow and would like to know more about "The Caretaker"?
