What shows should I see this February!? Thanks for your help!

HEY EVERYONE!
ive been lurking BWW foreevveeerrr.
today marks both the second day of 2008, and my first official post!
when i grow up, i want to be a musical theatre performer.
I LOVE BROADWAY [and so do you!!!! im so glad to be here]
i am attending the Broadway Artists Alliance WInter Intensive Master Class in New York City February 16-18, and I want to see shows after class. What is worth seeing in the new year/new season?
This is my primary source for interviews and reviews, and I thank you all for posting your opinions. But I would love to read what to see directly onto this thread.
I am considering IN THE HEIGHTS [looks great! people seem to have really really enjoyed it], SPRING AWAKENING on STAGE [4th time at show, 1st time on stage], and perhaps XANADU or YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN [little mermaid is no longer considered]. Do you know if CRY BABY and A CATERED AFFAIR would be onstage by february?
thank you all for your help! look forward to hearing your responses

Young Frankenstein!
He's a faker, and you've been taken in by his con. And in doing so, you are enabling him. He is doing more damage to aspergers than papa's words ever could. -Chane/Liverpool on me having asperger syndrome.

IN THE HEIGHTS is stunning. I can't wait to see how beautifully it fills the Richard Rodgers stage. I think it's going to look fantastic! An absolute must-see.

Next to Normal will be open at Second Stage...

I'd reccommend Speech and Debate. And In the Heights.
Now what would you say if today I started over? Without a thing but this taped together four leaf clover And I'll pretend like everything is already alright And I'll run toward the sun till the castle's out of sight

I second SPEECH & DEBATE.

If you're 18-35, tickets are $20, and WELL WORTH IT!

Saw In The Heights when it was Off Broadway, and it was quite good!
YF is just over hyped and dull.
Xanadu is just a campy fun time. Try to get on stage seating for this one!

Wanna be a foster, how do I take advantage of that $20 tickets for people 18-35? I want to take some of my seniors to that show, but now that it went up to $50 after the extension it may be out of their price range.

thank you everyone!
i really would love to see xanadu.
but.. WHAT DOES "CAMPY" MEAN?
thats all i've seen it described.!

is it worth investing in a LITTLE MERMAID TICKET? as much as the reviews on hear help, i really want to see a NEW MUSICAL before this years TONYS!!!

SO... based on your opinion, is xanadu, young frank or little merm the show to see if i want to be able to root on a show at the tonys?
is xanadu outstanding, smart, or just fluffy and light? do you believe that it will be acknowledged at the tonys? or is it the legally blonde of 2008?

Between Xanadu, YF and Little Mermaid--they are all 3 great shows. I saw all of them last month and enjoyed each one. Xanadu is fun! YF is hilarious! and Little Mermaid has breathtaking sets, lighting and costumes.

I think whichever of those 3 shows you decide, you will enjoy it! Have a wonderful trip!
