I know that they don't sell the rush tickets for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof until two hours prior to showtime. But, for anyone that has done this, is there any need for me to line up earlier. If so, how much earlier should I arrive?
No need at all. I rushed yesterday and arrived at 6:30 and easily got a ticket. As I was walking into the theatre a little after 7:30 I heard a box office employee tell one woman that there was only 1 rush seat left. Once it officially opens and word is out, it might be more difficult but for now don't bother lining up early.
Thanks. I was asking because I tried the other day and got there at around 6:45 maybe 6 50 ish and they were all gone. However, my concern (and this doesn't sound like this is the case) was that there would be people lining up outside the theatre waiting for six to arrive.
By the way, is it cash only or do they take cards as well?
Gotcha. That wasn't the case and it doesn't sound like it will be until reviews come out. I paid cash but didn't ask if they took cards.
They seem to have a LOT of tickets to sell for rush. I got there at 6pm tonight and the line looked so long I almost didn't even bother sticking around, but I did stay and got a ticket (I think everyone in line did). I'm so glad I stayed.

Bump -- How has rush for this been lately? Will showing up around 6:45 for an 8pm be okay?
Last Thursday I got there with a few of my friends at 5 for the 8pm curtain and we were the first in line. Around 5:30 the line started to trickle in, and I believe the box office staff came out and cut the line off eventually.

Has anybody gone on a Sunday recently? How was it? What time is good? Thanks!
Has anyone done this lately? What should I expect on a Wednesday night?
Any info is appreciated.
Looking for info as well if anyone's tried lately.

Bumping this because I'm planning on doing this today, also curious where the seats have been.
The best time to line up for the Cat rush would be after the show closes. Anything earlier is not soon enough.

I was there last Wednesday, at 5pm after the matinee had just finished there were 3 or 4 people in line, so only an hour wait before they sell the rush tickets at 6pm for the 8pm show.
