What to see in March?

Hey Everyone.
I lived in the city last year and saw almost all shows that came out last season. I am returning for a couple days and at a loss of what to see. It seems like revival town, and I know many have not yet had previews so we do not know the flavor...
Billy Elliot or Hair or Guys and Dolls???
Any plays? Let me know what you think!

With the way shows are closing right now, by the time March rolls around the only production left might be PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
Have fun!

BILLY ELLIOT is overpriced and overhyped. Go to TKTS and get a ticket to MAMMA MIA. It's the same kind of show, only a lot cheaper. Or better yet, rent the MAMMA MIA movie on DVD and see a worthwhile new musical on your trip.
Whatever Atlantic Theater Company is playing during the time you are here should absolutely be worth it. They always put on fantastic shows.
Check back on Telecharge a few days before the performance of HAPPINESS you want to see. Tickets are released that have either been canceled or were house seats that didn't sell.
Cynthia Nixon is one of the greatest stage actresses of her time. Absolutely book a ticket to see DISTRACTED at Roundabout.

Really? You would recommend Mamma Mia over Billy Elliot? Certainly, BE is not perfect, but it is wonderfully executed show with amazing choreography and a soul.
I only hesitate Hair as a rec because, while I loved the Park Production this summer...I wonder how that feeling will transfer to a tradidtional house.

Posted: 1/27/09 at 3:05pm"reasons to be pretty" starts previews in mid-March. It's the best new play of the season according to a lot of the critics. The cast for the Bway run should be fantastic.
